RE: Can I tow it without brakes a short distance?

GOTTA have trailer lights, but if it were me I would at least give it a test run and try it out. Back before I new trailer brakes were a nice thing to have, I towed lots of car trailers (with cars) with older half tons than that. Early to mid 90's trucks. The cars were 3-3500 pounds by themselves, plus the trailer weight. Never had a problem with braking. Even with trailer brakes I give myself way more room to stop though (of course). That said, sounds like you are fine with holding off. Nothing wrong with that either. Same here but with my race car. Had a close call when someone pulled out in front of me and it took 4-ever to slow down. Also almost lost it when slowing down in a curve on wet roads. The trailer pushed the back of the truck sideways.

RE: hanging stuff on walls

My studs seem to be 16 inch on center. I used screws that go into studs about 1 1/2 to be on the safe side of things.

RE: Walmart Camping

No nothing but staying to get some rest and move on would be best but that's my opinion.

RE: traveling with cats

Sorry to hear about your Maine Coon. They are great cats, the k-9 of the feline world. Many dog like characteristics and they are so people oriented. I found this to be so true.

RE: traveling with cats

Our Maine Coon died last night. Great cat raised by two Labradors who complained if we caged him is in a car but loved the freedom of the RV and the winter we spent when we had a boat and cruised to Florida. Time to have the Labs train the next one. Now this thread will be moved to pets. I have had a few cats but one great one. She was a Maine Coon cat. She died 6 years ago. It might sound funny to some but I miss that cat. Sorry about yours.

RE: I want an Airstream. Wife wants to keep our diesel pusher.

Keep the wife happy and keep the DP. Get a toad to get around. I drove cross country with a 40' DP and toad and it was no big deal. X2. Remember, Happy Wife, Happy .... I hate this comment. It`s never made any sense! I`ve seen it used to the point where safety was involved! And "happy wife happy life" and traveling unhappy because she is happy. If someone always has to give in that much, then it`s not a happy life!!! I agree its a two way street. Only thing with my wife is that if she gets mad she stays that way longer than I do and she never forgets. Im glad we get along most always. :)

RE: Slera power awning

The fabric is centered and secured on upper rail. Thanks Doug.

RE: Slera power awning

Sorry but my spelling always stink. Wife was sick so only used 3 times and it wasn't long before I noticed one arm would not retract up to trailer and the fabric would travel. I did adjust the fabric today only to get it a little better. I found out that problem is the fabric is 4 inches wider at the roof rail that it is on bottom. I don't no why it seems to have stretched up top but it explains everything its been doing. I have never had any desire to take my camper to the dealer for anything and half to deal with what comes with it.I guess Ill get buy for this year and get new awning fabric next spring. Thanks for your reply.
