RE: Bringing extra fresh water.

If you are worried about contamination, add one capful of bleach to each 20 gallons of water. Not enough to affect the taste, but enough to kill bacteria.

RE: Starting batteries instead of deep cycle

I find that the easiest thing on my batteries is to use a French press coffee maker.

RE: This is what happens when you have too much tongue weight...

The front tie-down comes near the frame where it is bent if the picture is real. They may have improperly drilled or even welded a tie down to the frame which would have weakened the frame there. It is a possibility.

RE: This is what happens when you have too much tongue weight...

Why would any drivers sit in the driver's seat as though he was going to continue down the road? How did the bottom of the box not touch the bottom of the cab corner in a bending position like that? And how could you drive it without modifications did the drive shaft because I wouldn't line up with the rear end? Too many variables for me to believe. Out there

RE: Downloading at Campground

If you are going to leave it on all the time you might consider a motorhome.

RE: Downloading at Campground

I normally unload so I can launch the boat in the morning and in the evening to go fishing. That way my wife doesn't have to leave camp each time.

RE: Do you unload when you camp? Really?

Unload most of the time because I like to fish and my wife doesn't. That means she can stay at camp while I launch the boat in the morning and evening. I may at times go trout fishing midday on small streams down two tracks. It seems to depend on what kind of camping you do.

RE: Saga of Cell Phone Accident...

According to Google the cell phone was invented in 1973, the 20th century. I found that out using my cell phone.

RE: Gas engine fuel mpg?

Morsnow, it looks like the older you get the heavier your foot or you feel like you have less time to get there. Just saying, lol.

RE: Why diesel trucks?

The biggest difference appears to be in the owner of the truck and what he or she wants out of their truck. And by the way I use the 270.

Be careful or we will be back to 11 pages of how to haul a fuel can.

RE: Why diesel trucks?

I am too cheap to put up the extra up front money for a diesel. So I do the best I can to get by with low class gas. So far, getting by ok,I just don't look and sound cool pulling into the campground. I haven't found a place yet that a diesel could get to that a gas couldn't. I say get what makes you feel good and have fun.

RE: Don't bend your flimsy steel truck bed

It's on YouTube. You don't even know for sure if the bed was Bent by the camper or if it's just a joke.
