RE: Life membership does not appear

It must be. Mine does not show up either. If you click on the "?" in the box you get a page saying 404 error. Ken

RE: Carrying extra fuel in Canada

We have gone up for the summer 3 times now and have never worried about fuel. There are plenty of gas stations along the way and it is a fairly short drive between major towns. Edmonton, Dawson Creek, Ft. Nelson, Watson Lake, Whitehorse and Tok. Ken

RE: st augustine fl

We have stayed at Northshore and the St. Augustine Beach KOA. By far, I recommend Northshore. Ken

RE: What happened?

That happened to us on a car battery. South Florida is very hard on batteries. I am pretty sure that the cells shorted out. Ken

RE: Trip planning tool

Use RV Trip Wizard. Much better for routing based upon height and weight. Ken

RE: Direct TV revisited

I am not sure of the accuracy of the OPs post. I have a KVH M3 satellite dish on my boat that can only receive SD channels. I am using a h-24 receiver. I just walked out to the boat and am still receiving all of the channels I normally get. Ken

RE: Directv

We have DirecTV, with service at our home in Colorado. When we use our Winegard dish while traveling with DirecTV service, we still get the Denver local channels. If you want the local channels I don't think DirecTV offers a service like that, at least not one that's a total PITA to deal with as you move around. From what I read, Dish is more RV friendly. We aren't switching because Dish doesn't have our local sports station, and also we don't travel enough for it to be a big deal to not have local to our location stations. You probably are still traveling within the Denver spot beam. I also have Direct and loose the Denver stations in upper Montana, southern New Mexico and eastern Nebraska. It is apparently a large spot beam. I have switched service areas at times but it is a pita due to inexperienced reps. When we lived in Colorado, we would get them up to Glendoe, WY and down near 4 corners. It was a very large spot beam. Once north of Glendoe, we would lose them. Down in Arizona we would lose them. RE: Directv

Once you depart your spot beam area you will not receive any local channels. For me in SW Florida, I loose them around Lake City. Ken
