RE: 3/4 ton diesel vs. gas

Does anyone else notice how every time the discussion gets into vehicle comparisons or capabilities, three people on the rv.net forum are always right and are condescending to everyone who doesn't agree? Its getting old.

RE: First Post - 2012 Ram 1500 Laramie - What can I pull??

I didn't read every comment on here but have you weighed your truck at a scale? You will probably find that you have less payload available than what's on the door. I once had a 1/2 ton Laramie and was in the same boat. My 8000# trailer had a 750# tongue weight according to the spec sheet. Actual tongue weight was 1200#. Your WDH is approximately 80# added to that. You are already over payload capacity and you haven't sat in the driver's seat yet.

RE: TPMS suggestions

There was a great youtube video with a detailed comparison between TST and Tireminder. My vote is the TST 507.

RE: Thor or Forest River - Warranty and reputation

I like forest river products personally. As far as the warranty experience, I have never had a claim denied. I had what appear to be a bolt sticking up under the linoleum on a class C I owned. It apparently came loose. It was out of warranty by well over a year or two, but the dealer got FR to cover it under warranty. They removed the linoleum, tightened the bolt, and replaced the linoleum with new.

RE: How often..

How often do you replace your trailer tires? ROFLMAO..... never saw this question asked before..... Did a new rvnet member steal your handle or are you just pulling our leg here?? But at least it was a very vague, ambiguous question sure to stir up a bunch of useless fodder and you can pick the “right” answer to support your own opinion! Judging by all the other responses except yours, it appears that this thread isn't just "useless fodder". Seems to be moving right along similar to an earlier fuel mileage thread where only the OP's information is correct and everyone else is just wrong.

RE: Fuelly mileage of the big three diesels

Any chance we can get back to the topic and have owners report what mpg's they are getting in their diesel trucks? We all know the arguments for and against, now post some real time mpg's. You know that's not going to happen. When someone posts their opinions on a forum, they are right and everyone else is wrong. If anyone else thinks they are not wrong....prove it.
