RE: '22 Powerstroke seems a little thirstier than the '21 was.

I sense a lot of jealousy on this thread. If he wants a new truck every year, so what? If he didn't buy one every year and drove around in an old beater, would your life be any better because of it? 4x4ord, good luck to you. Mine is a '21, but if I found the right deal on something better, I'll be shopping too.

RE: Rims for 350

Keep this in mind when ordering aftermarket rims. I ordered some rims for a dually that I owned recently. The rear rims were only rated for 60 psi and not 80 psi. The weight rating of the rims was high enough, but it changed the weight capacity of the tires when running 60 psi. I was still good for what I was towing, but if you are towing a great deal of weight, you need to do some homework.

RE: 5er Noob Looking for a Hitch

If you opt for the B&W Patriot hitch, bump up to the 18k instead of the 15k (or whatever it is). The 18k is welded while the smaller one bolts together. I bought the 18k and installed the rails myself. It took a couple of hours and a couple of return trips under the truck because I couldn't reach some of the bolts. I needed to get some longer extensions, u-joint, etc. Now that it is installed, it doesn't seem too bad, but I admit, I was a little intimidated before I got into it. I am handy, but there was the thought of 10k+ lbs going 65 mph down the highway only being held secure by these bolts.

RE: Towing capacity

With the way people like to posture that they know everything and you don't, as well as the back and forth on this thread, if I were the OP, I wouldn't return here to respond either. There is a thread on RV.net asking where everyone went, and they noticed that no one posts anymore. Here's why.

RE: Hitch maintenance

Thanks for the replies. Just wasn’t sure if it was something that needs to be checked often or just once a year or so.

Hitch maintenance

How often does everyone get under the truck to check the torque of thebolts of your bed rails and frame brackets?

RE: Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) --- Great add-on

Some RV companies advertise that there products come equipped with TPMS. I just bought a new fifth wheel with that advertisement. The TPMS system consisted of 4 valve caps that showed green when good and red when low. The dealer when walking through said that as long as there's 80 lbs, the caps will show green. WRONG. I got it home and installed my TST system. They all four went into alarm reading 67 lbs. Moral to the story, don't trust the cheap caps.
