RE: Willowtree Resort --wristbands??

I for one do not have a problem with a wrist band. Some places allow you to wear it on an ankle. Wearing it on an ankle can be a little less annoying for some people. Then it becomes an ankleband and not a wristband. Now who hates anklebands?

RE: Willowtree Resort --wristbands??

Lakewood requires the wristband when using the pool or some other amenities. Sounds like a Willow Tree you must wear it the total time there. Like someone said, they must have unwanted/unpaid visitors using the facilities at some point to cause a need for this.

RE: Campground near Charlotte, NC in June for a couple days?

I have a suggestion for you up I77...Mayberry Campground in Mt Airy,NC...You must take the kids downtown. This is where the TV series The Andy Griffith show was patterned after. You will see lots of things from the show and might even see Barney, Floyd the barber, Otis and Ernest T Bass. Also there are the squad car tours. You can make that 1 day ride to Charlotte :)

RE: Campground near Charlotte, NC in June for a couple days?

We like McDowell but do not have a 40 footer. Not full hookups stinks but they have a dump site. Not much there for kids to do but only 4 miles or so from Carowinds. + point...cheaper than Carowinds. But you are not on site. I would prefer Carowinds if I was with kids and you can afford the park prices. My suggestion is to go to the park but come back to site for meals.

RE: Any chance for Topsail without a ressie?

What, exactly, is a "ressie"? Bruce I may be wrong but I thought it was a cute attempt at at the word "reservations." Kind of like DH/DW/DD/DS/BFF...........one of those things ressie is reservation "shortie"

RE: cataloochee camp groud great smokey mtns

We love the drive through there to see the elk herds. Don't worry about your TT. You will keep seeing the rear end of it many times going in/out to the campground. There are large units there so it must not be that bad pulling one. Just take your time with the blind curves and such. Everyone that I have ever talked to who camped there, loved it.
