RE: Yellowstone glacier NP with no reservations

I did that trip in September, dispersed camping on the weekend (I can boondock my rig), and never had a problem finding a site during the week at either park, but stayed outside the park for better hookups. Honestly, I have better luck using google search for an area of map, then clicking on individual parks to try for a reservation, I can usually tell within seconds if they're full or not, then I'll get on the phone, call, and reserve that spot. I am terrible at keeping to an agenda and all my road trips are on the fly, never spent the night at the side of the road yet (one McDonald's parking lot tho).

RE: Redwood National Park question

There are small RV parks in most of the small towns along the avenue of the giants, you can google map them to see if there are trees to your taste.

RE: Looking for good campground in Portland OR

A lot of local mobile home parks have RV spots. I just googled "rv park portland" and the map showed several.

RE: Lamoille Canyon Nevada

The canyon is beautiful but if you haven't visited/camped at Angel Lake, you're missing the best part of the area.

RE: The Top Tent Manufacture Used for Car Camping

I had a big 3 rm Ozark Trail that survived several summers of 4H county and then State Fair. Kids grew up and I bought a Coleman instant up 6 man that's nice too; I didn't sacrifice quality for price though, I bought it wholesale online for less than another cheapo Ozark. Happy with both since they were both a bargain.
