RE: Custer State Park Sylvan lake 32’ tt

I worked at the Sylvan Lake store and would walk around the campground. I would not want to put a 32 footer in there. Matter of fact, there were some 20 footers that shouldn't be there either due to the way they were parked. I suggest Game Lodge if you want to be in the park or Fort Welikeit just outside the park

RE: Wifi options

"1. If you have no cell service, the hotspot won't work (a jetpack is basically just a cell phone that only does hotspot)." Not always true.I have been in spots on the east coast where cell service was dead but the hotspot worked fine. So, to make a phone call, I used SKYPE with the hotspot

RE: Debating Class A purchase for Wa. State to Az snowbirding

Seeing as how you now own a 5th wheel, I would not go buy a 40ft motorized rv to use it once a year. Load the app "rv Parky" and follow your route to see where rv parks are located then plan your stops accordingly

RE: What food can I bring ...

Been going to Penasco for 10 years and not one time has the refer door been opened by the Mexican authorities. They have opened my booze locker and never said a word. They look in some cabinets checking (not to hard) for drugs and weapons. You can purchase everything you mentioned with the exception of the smoked turkey in Mexico. They aren't back woods like a lot of people think Mexico is.

RE: Using my Class A in freezing weather?

No manufacturer will say, take mine to the cold weather. We have spent time at 4 nights and 14 day temps. Do not leave sewer hookups out nor your fresh water hose, work off your internal tanks. Keep your slides in to reduce the area you have to heat. Also keeping the slides in, reduces the amount of ice that will accumulate on the toppers. Put some extra heat in the sewer bay with a 60 watt bulb. Put a few extra blankets on the bed. Keep a vent open to the coach such as a roof vent to help keep moisture collection down.

RE: Multimeter recommendation?

EE here. Go with a cheap Harbor Freight meter. Most of your work on an rv will be continuity, either you have it or you don't type trouble shooting. Someone mentioned dropping a cheap meter so buy 2.

Better stuck open than closed. Replace the valve and be done with it. Consider yourself lucky and go buy a lottery ticket.

RE: Quartzite?

can you get in and through the big tent on a mobility scooter? Depends on what time of the day you go. Mornings are pretty crowded but the afternoons are less so. But, yes you can make it, just don't expect to drive full speed ahead. The tent does get full but I think the Covid protocol will open it up

RE: Tow bar options & instillation advice

Either Roadmaster or Blue Ox. The main thing is to get one that will ensure your toad arrives at the campground at the same time you do. When I was fitting out the toad, I went to Camping World and bought the brand that was on sale, which was Roadmaster at the time. Been using them since '99. I have upgraded the bar as they came out with the better mouse trap. I have towed a '00 GC which the wife totaled, a '99 GC as a replacement and now tow a '13 GC using the Roadmaster 9000 braking system
