Yea, that’s my next move, get the alignment checked. I just love how sumo doesn’t mention that it’s going to raise the front of coach.

RE: Towing PT cruiser

I have a 2007 PT Cruiser with manual transmission and pull it 4 down everywhere with no problems. I just put it in neutral and turn key to first click which just unlocks steering wheel and only illuminates the odometer. If I turn the key to the second click then all the dash lights come on , that’s what’s nice about the PT is that you can tow all day but not run down battery.

Sumo Springs

Just installed Sumo Springs on the front of our 2015 E450 Class C Thor Chateau 31W. It seems to done what I was hoping for, although it did raise it by about an inch and a half, our coach also has Helwig anti sway bars front and rear plus Bilstein shocks and Safety plus Steering control. What I am wondering is if I add Sumos to the rear according to Sumo Tech support it will raise the rear also just a little which I don’t have a problem with but for those who have done this does your coach seem to ride stiffer in the rear after adding the sumos to the rear.

I installed Helwig front and rear on my E450 Class C 32 ft and they are just what I needed. I researched both brands and decided on Helwig over Roadmaster simply because Hellwig is 100% bolt on but Roadmaster required some drilling in frame to mount rear sway bar but I think both are fairly the same quality.

Got a reply from Thor and they say it has to be part of the chassis wiring harness so I’m going to take it to a ford dealership, I also went to an RV dealership this morning and looked under dash of othe Class C E 450 and tucked under was the same plug so it has to be part of the chassis wiring

Nope not a brake controller and it doesn’t look like the one I the link you provided. Thor says its probably for an external navigation system but not sure.

Well it looks like a 4 pin and it does have backup cameras but that works on the radio screen and it’s definitely not an OBD Connecter.

Electrical plug

I have a 2015 E450 Class C Chateau that has a plug sticking out of the dash between the bottom of the dash and engine cover right below the radio. Does anyone have one or know what it is? I’m the second owner and original owner didn’t know what it was either. They only had it about 3 years and barely used it and knew very little about anything about the coach. So no help there. Manufacturer says they think it’s for plugging in an external navigation system. Any idea Since?

Ok, thanks for the picture, looks like it may be behind the amplifier switch. I’ll pull it and see. My problem is there is a satellite dome installed on top of the roof am Nd all 3 TVs are connected to it, the satellite receiver is connected via coaxable antenna cable and all TVs have a snowy picture but if I run an HDMI cable from receiver to big TV up from its crystal clear for that TV

Measure your battery compartment, you possibly could upgrade to 2 batteries, i have a 2015 ford chassis and have 2 group 27 batteries and they do great, it came with 2 group 24 and they would hold up.

TV antenna splitter

I have a 2015 Thor Chateau 31W and I am trying to locate the antenna splitter, all I have found is switch plate for antenna booster and antenna coaxial connections but no splitter. I have a dish satalite receiver with one cable going into it then one out but I have 3 TVs in the unit one outside one in the back bedroom and one outside in a compartment so has anyone found the location to send signals to all the TVs

Hey guys let’s not go to raggin on my RV Tech he is good at what he does, I guess I haven’t relayed all the facts but the parts he’s replaced were bad ie ciurcut board had corrosion on it from moisture and sail switch was bad both tested bad but apparently there is another problem not detected yet, and it’s intermittent and we all know how intermittent problems can be hard to diagnose. Trust me he’s not throwing parts at it and I wouldn’t let him but sometimes things can be a real pain to get working right.

Hey Ole Biscuit It’s working just takes any where from I 1 to 3 try to ignite but always invites by the 3 try, never go to lock down. What’s odd is it only does that on the first ingnition from being off for a day then fires the first try. That’s what’s odd, that’s why he going to just check it throughly, the other problem was duct restrictions which after it started and was heating would shut down after 6 minutes then would refire before blower shut off because it hadn’t reach thermostat setting yet. Limit switch would shut it down due to restrictions in duct causing over heating, that is solved now.

Well the original problem was shutdown at ingnition, I took and still doe shutdown 1 to 3 times before complete ingnition and each part improved it but after ingnition it would only run about 6 minutes then flame out due to duct restrictions from too many. Tight bends but now that’s solved. I got to take it back to him to check the ignitor and and just give really good check of the electrical system of the heater. So in a nut shell there are a combination of things that were going on but it’s narrowed down to just the failing ingnition. I’ve been using him for sometime and he always does me good.

Well after some good suggestions I went out and removed some panels inside and definitely noted that there was one air duct hose that had a tight “S” curve in it then connected to an air duct in the floor that ran over to the other side to heat hallway and bathroom so I cut a little over 2 feet out and reconnected the duct and WALA problem solved. Thanks so much for all the input. It looks like there was just to much of a curve in the Duck work, it was crammed under the kitchen cabinet & sink. Apparently the restrictions were causing excessive heat to build up and the the limit switch would shut it down. Thanks again

Well the tech checked things out and it looked like a sail switch problem so he replaced that and it worked good for about 2 days then started acting up again so he looked at the circuit board because he saw some corrosion on it from what looked like it got wet so he replaced that for just parts cost only and it seems to be working as it should but I am beginning to think it may very well be a limit switch because furnace burns well for about 6 to 8 minutes the burner shuts down but blower continues as it should clearing the gases but before blower shuts off the burner ignites and burns again for 6 to 8 minutes then repeats so it could be that limit switch shutting it down.
