RE: city water inlet

has your rv dealership you went to tell you they make many different inlets and you really should take it in so they can see and touch which one you need to replace your original. it is like vent lids, they make so many different ones you need to at least take in the hinge for replacement match

RE: Rough freeways.

I vote is for calif. I swear they build in pot holes into their roads and they really go to heck after that. I try to avoid calif at all costs.

RE: Harbor Freight Predator 3500 Generator Review and Fuel Use

I have a 2000 predator and a honda 2000. the predator starts much easier than the honda does. actually I like them both. I'm too old to try lifting one of the 3500's into the truck by myself

RE: Best way to get outlet/power strip next to bed???

running a cord under the mattress would seem like a good idea but according to an old electrician friend of mine it not a good idea. he told me many years ago that the cord must have a way to cool it self, and running a cord under some thing such as your mattress will keep that cord from staying cool and may over heat. are you willing to take that chance. my self I would run the cord around the top edge of the bed base and put in those little plastic cord holders. it would be able to breath and be up off the floor so you can't trip on it

RE: CW in Akron OH?

I quit dealing with CW back in the 80's. yep, they have been at their worst since then. I would not buy a paper clip from them

RE: Can water heater run while towing? Here's why . . .

you will have the water heater lame blow out if it is a dsi model be sure you turn it off at the gas station or you might have a shell of an RV after they put the fire out. saw what happens when a frig spark gets done with a MH at the gas station once. burned up a few vehicles and a building and almost a huge propane tank.

RE: Inverter Generator and 12v deep cycle batts

I use a charger with my batteries and they get up to full charge faster than the TT electrical cord

RE: Is my truck big enough?

I don't care what other people say about being OK. you are already over weight and potentially a danger on the hwy. get a real truck that can tow your RV safely. I've had 1/2 tons before and in my opinion the towing capabilities are so low. I think a half ton is lucky it can pull into a drive way. I'll get flax on that one, but after I got my 3/4 ton it was like night and day difference

RE: Small microwave

the above is correct as far as input compared to out put. Plus the converter takes up some of the input power into the TT. you must count that in also

RE: Best awning replacement material

tough top awning makes the best material and it is a lot cheaper and heavier weight than the OEM stuff

Motor Home estate auction

went to auction this morning. they had a MH that has sat for at least the last ten years. it was a DP, with a rear radiator. nobody knew what engine it had other than a diesel. the tires had to be over ten years old since it was been sitting for that long. the frig needed work, some of the windows were in need of replacement, the floor felt like a diving board. the kitchen sink needed resealed, the carpet was real bad. it had 55K on the odometer and the decals were pealing off out side. other than that it was in well fair shape. it went for $8K not bad if you are into redoing it. some of the other stuff and I mean they had a lot of stuff. they had a look like new battery Skil chainsaw that goes for $330, this was used mind you , it went for $355. the bidders were totally just bidding to hear them selves bid.
