Residential Refrigerator question

Those of you that have residential refrigerators in your RV, how do you keep the doors from opening while you travel?

RE: Nascar Follies

Seems like networks today have a different idea what tv viewers like to see/hear. Too bad the network was stuck on showing in car vids of the 4 contenders just driving around when several cars racing each other for various top ten positions. Overall pretty good race from the top 4 contenders. Now if the tv networks would dump Jr...Burton...Letarte with thier irritating squeaky Billy Mims type voices and put people in the booth with good broadcasting voices, like we had in the past, I would watch the whole race and not use the mute button. 100% agree on the announcers. At times they are unbearable.0 Right on.

Larson wins

Congratulations to Kyle Larson and his amazing pit crew. 10 wins deserves a championship.

RE: Refrigerator replacement

Update, going with Magic Chef residential. Fits perfectly in the space of the 2852 Dometic and matches our Magic chef Stove/oven and Micro wave. We no longer boondock but we have a built in generator if we need it. It's also 2.1 cubic feet bigger than the 2852 at 10.1 cubic feet. Thanks for all the tips.

RE: Refrigerator replacement

Thanks for all the tips and suggestions. I will do a bit more research prior to investing in a new refer.

RE: Refrigerator replacement

The 2872 according to specs is: 1" higher, 3/8" wider, 1/2" deeper Depends on if it is a DM-2852, or a DM-2852 "Americana" It’s the Americana.

Refrigerator replacement

I am going to replace my refrigerator. I have a Dometic 2852 which I am replacing with a 2872. From what I have read it should be a fairly simple exchange. Would appreciate any experienced advice. Thank you.

Refer died

My Dometic RM2852 needs to be replaced. Does anyone know what I have to order to replace it that will fit in the same opening? Thanks for your help.

Don't worry about it, you'll never get reimbursed anyway.

RE: Wash Wax All - front caps and BUGS

I polish my 5th wheel with Starbrite boat polish with teflon. Keeps the rig looking new and bugs wipe right off the front cap.

RE: New Steps

Just an update. I decided we would go with Lippert Solid Step, but then I heard about a small company in Texas called RV-Co. Learned what I could about them on line and then called the company. They make a folding step with a 31 inch platform and 7 in spaced steps. Just what my wife needed with double knee replacements. Ordered the 5 step model and very pleased so far. They are a PIA because you have to fold them and put them in your rig or truck when you travel. The nice part is they simply hook up to your existing top step, no tools required. Probably not what you would want if you move a lot, but with this set up we can still continue to enjoy the RV lifestyle. If anyone else out there is using them I would appreciate your thoughts.

RE: Nascar Follies

Good thing Jimmy went to Indycart. I am totally done with NASCAR, pulling the rug out from under Jennifer Joe Cobb was the last straw. It seems they feel the need to satisfy their TV overlords rather than concentrate on good racing, I've had enough of the silly little weenie rules they choose to or not enforce to effect the outcome of races. The fix is in, Kim Kardassion is going to be the next Champion. Love it.

New Steps

I'm thinking about replacing the old steps on my 5th wheel with the Lippert Solid Step. My questions are 1. can I do it myself or do I need professional installation and 2.those of you that have installed the step are you happy with it? Thank you

RE: I just got the new RV Magazine

Just got the second issue, worse than the first. I want to know about RV's and tech issues, not how to plan a honeymoon. Total waste of money.
