RE: Winterizing and sink sprayer hose

With 30 years of winterizing rv's and cabins I have decided to always unscrew the spray head in the sink and the shower and leave it off till spring.

RE: Pressure regulator at source vs. destination

I just remembered a story a guy told me. He said he was warned that he needed a pressure regulator when he checked in. He parked and hooked up. He attached his regulator behind the filter. Later in the afternoon he heard small explosion. Went outside to find the top blown off his filter.

RE: Inverter

Are you just wondering or have you actually tried ? I have a 2000 watt inverter and a residential fridge. After traveling all day using the inverter and charging with solar my batteries are fully charged when i stop. I suppose if you can't get enough charge from the solar you could run your genset too.

RE: Any other gas stations giving rv's gas discounts like Pilot?

Seven cents off Pilot Or Flying J ain't a lot since they are 40 to 60 cents higher than other stations in my travel area ! X2

RE: Okay, I have frozen pipes??

If your water is all frozen, I mean both hot and cold to all faucets and if you have a compartment that houses all of your connections I would guess that your frozen spot would be right behind that door. If you think about it your plumbing is only 1/2 inch of styrofoam away from -7 degrees. I know these RV folks say they build a four season unit but most of them recommend you not use it in below freezing conditions. That being said , if you can determine where it is frozen you can take steps to prevent future problems. Good Luck

RE: Cold weather and diesel advice

I have a 100 gallon transfer tank so I keep track of where I bought the fuel and when. If I have southern Texas fuel in the tank when I go back to Colorado in the winter I add anti gel.

RE: 2006 5.4 f-250 CCLB mileage solo?

I used to have an 01 f350 dually with a 5.4. The best I ever got was 14, no matter what I did. That truck always acted like it was struggling.

RE: Propane Pigtail

Use the yellow gas tape or the sealant goop both available at any hardware store.
