RE: No hot water in kitchen

Insert head shake here. So I took the advice from opnspaces and sat back in order to take it all in. Traced the lines rechecked everything and as you can imagine nothing. Frustrated and beginning to accept defeat a thought occurred to me. I thought zero chance but I did it anyway. I took off the head on the sink and ran the hot water. It spit and sputter and then piping hot water. Inspected everything and still no idea as to the what or the why. Put it all back together and boom it’s working. Could I have missed something? Maybe? possibly? I don’t know for sure but it’s working. This one has me shaking my head.

RE: No hot water in kitchen

Pulled the mouse boards and can’t see anything. We are 48 hours past last freeze. We were in the 60’s yesterday and mid 70’s today. I’m beginning to wonder if ice is the problem. Any other suggestions out there?

No hot water in kitchen

Hoping for some help. Just finished a week of “generational cold” here in south Texas. Five days of bitter cold with the lowest temp of 9. I did not winterize our relfection prior to the storm. I drained it well after our last trip but I have no doubt there was residual water lines. Also, I did not drain hot water heater. Today was first day with sun and not frozen so I hooked up the camper and everything seemed to work and no apparent leaks. However, the water in the kitchen only turns tepid and never hot. I found a blog about the outdoor shower valves could be causing an issue if left on. Went out to check and sure enough they were on! Problem solved!! Nope still only tepid water I the kitchen. After an exhaustive search online with no luck I posted this question on a Facebook group. The best thought from that post was the hot water line in the kitchen was still frozen. Possible? I guess but it seems odd that would be the only line still frozen. Anyone else have any thoughts or heard this before?

RE: Insurance on a 2021 Fifth Wheel

We spoke with USAA aka Progressive. Lots of options and I was curious what most folks are doing. Agreed on the comprehensive, in my opinion it’s a must. I’m just hoping to cash in on everyone’s wisdom!

Insurance on a 2021 Fifth Wheel

All, just bought a new fifth wheel and I am curious to hear what insurance most carry. We have a note on the trailer and I obviously what replacement cost on the trailer. Any recommendations are welcome.

RE: So Lost

Thought I might provide an update for those keeping score at home. The F-250 is gone and I am now in an F-350 4X4 DRW. Yes, I am now one of those guys!! We're keeping the Reflection 367 and there is zero doubts on the rig trailer combo. Thanks to all who contributed can't tell you how much it helped. I will now go lick my wounds after trading a 2021 for a 2021.Ouch!

RE: So Lost

Thank you all for the input. I think I am trying to stick with the F250 however the writing appears to be on the wall. If I go down on the trailer to Reflection 28BH UVW: 8,997 lbs | GVWR: 11,495 lbs | Hitch Weight: 1,592 lbs | Length: 34' 8" It appears I run into the same issues on a smaller scale. Am I reading it right?

RE: So Lost

It looks like the tires are the same in the 250/350. I am running LT275/65Rx20E OWL all terrain. The wheels are also the same 20"Painted Cast-Aluminum. Outside of the axle I don't see any other difference. I also have the 10,000lb. GVWR package which is listed as standard for F350. Just one more term that makes my head hurt. I very much appreciate the discussion as I am trying to make the most informed decision possible.

RE: So Lost

JIMNLIN - are you saying that something like air bags would help or am I chasing a dead dream? I have heard the comparisons of 250 vs 350 but I don't know enough to make an informed decision. Not super interested in buying a new truck either so there is a part of me forcing the issue maybe?

RE: So Lost

So here's where I get lost. The sticker in the door says 2214? That mean I'm not even close. As I understand it my set up with a 3.31 axle could tow 14,100 but because of the pin weight of ~3,000# I would be over before I ever put it in drive? Sorry to be the noob here but it all makes my head hurt.

So Lost

Hello all I have read, and read, and read but it seems you can slice the argument whatever way fits your setup best. I just signed docs on a Reflection 367 and am waiting to set up an appointment for the walk through. I have a 2020 F-250 King Ranch 6.7 diesel that I am concerned is not enough truck for the trailer I have picked. Anyone have any experience here? Thanks in advance.
