RE: Battery tender & storage

I have to store my rv in AZ for 4 months. I won’t be able to check on it, cause I live in AK. I’m wondering about leaving a Battery Tender attached for that long. I have covered storage. I have a battery cutoff in a new Arctic Fox tt. After checking water level- Should I … leave cables/wires attached to battery as they are; turn the cutoff switch ( disconnecting it from the rV) and then attach the Battery Tender? Everything I read say check water level monthly, but I can’t do that. Advise pls. Thnx in advance. we usually snowbird between early January and mid-to-late May. while we're gone I leave battery tender devices on both of our other vehicles here at home. never have had a problem.

RE: Jan-Feb-March in Mesa, AZ- few questions about heat sources

we snowbird in Mesa and rarely run the lp furnace. we will usually run the front rooftop heat pump and augment that with a portable electric space heater in the bedroom. we don't run the rooftop heat pump in the bedroom because of the noise. if need be we also have a heated mattress pad.

RE: Flying J / RV Lanes

You mentioned in your post that you will be visiting Rocky Mountain National Park. Just a heads up, there are no Flying J stations in the northern Colorado area that I'm aware of. Closest will be a Flying J and a Pilot in Cheyenne, WY near the I-25/I-80 interchange, or in the Denver/Aurora area off I-70. .. the Pilot in Cheyenne has two long-vehicle fuel lanes off to the right of the auto pumps. EZ out as well. we fueled up there last august in our 40' class a + suv toad.

RE: Flying J / RV Lanes

You are aware that Flying j fuel prices are higher than other stations! Even if they are higher, if they have an easy in/out where you don’t clog up the parking lot, it’s worth an extra few bucks. +1. i'll prioritize convenience and EZ in/out over price everytime.

RE: Rip off prices from RV Dealers

We took a trip along with our neighbors in our travel trailers to the Alabama Gulf Coast last week. While there both of us had issues with our travel trailer toilets due to improper winterizing. Next year we will both due a better job and use the pink stuff throughout the entire system rather than simply blowing it out. We needed to replace our toilet mechanism and found a useful You Tube that showed us how to do it. We both purchased the new valve system from a reputable dealership in the area for $56 with tax and installed it ourselves. When I get home I see the same valve is for sale on Amazon for $9.99 with free shipping. I know these dealers need to make a profit to maintain their store but this much of a mark up is outrageous. are you sure the parts were identical?

RE: Eastbound I-90 Chicago

39 to 80 and then east on 80 would be a much, much better choice than following 90 thru the city. 80 in Indiana can be congested so strongly recommend 80 in indiana between 10a-2p. there will be one toll booth in Illinois just before the IN state line but all toll booths in IL are not staffed so you won't need to stop but you will be expected to pay online.

DDAVP (Desmopressino) Proscar (Finasteride) thanks. the finasteride purportedly helps to shrink the prostate best case by 30%. we'll see. good luck.

RE: rv fridge

If one was to replace the fridge in there current rv with a residential fridge, what would have to be done to be able to cool it down before leaving on a trip? Generator, inverter? yes. or plug the RV into electric.

RE: Happy Campers no longer available in CA?

I'm no expert, but it must contain one (or more) of these chemicals: Chemicals that CA SB-317 bill bans: Formaldehyde Bronopol Dowicil Formalin Glutaraldehyde Paraformaldehyde Para-dichlorobenzene Benzene Toluene Xylene Ethylene glycol 1,1,1-trichloroethane Trichloroethylene Perchloroethylene” https://uniquecampingmarine.com/blogs/news/california-sb-317 i read somewhere that CA was soon going to ban oxygen.
