RE: Ever Notice?

Charlestonsouthern: I would have to look that up, which wouldn't be fair. Seems like one of the series he was in had a little boy and a horse. (I'm really dating myself here) My Friend Flicka or some program like that. Getting back to Arness, when I was a very small child my brother and I watched A THING FROM ANOTHER PLANET. Arness played the THING. I don't think he had any speaking parts. That movie gave us both nightmares. I'm sure compared to today's scary movies it would be like watching a Disney cartoon.

RE: Ever Notice?

Oh, well, since we're talking about guns, Marshal Dillon was shot 56 times over the course of his career. (No, I didn't actually count them, just looked it up):p

RE: Ever Notice?

IDK if pockets were normal during that time period or not. I have read that making left and right shoos is a fairly new invention. Prior to that you just slipped them on regardless of which foot. I appreciate everyone's comments. I was afraid I was the only one who enjoys noticing unusual little trivia.

Ever Notice?

Anyone ever notice that in that first scene of GUNSMOKE that Matt Dillon doesn't have any back pockets?:)

RE: General Sherman Giant Tree

Seems like I read recently that Yosemite required reservations now, even for a day visit. Might want to make sure first.

RE: Battery Replacement?

Thanks everyone. May be going to Phoenix in a month or so. Maybe better safe than sorry so I'll have the batteries tested and go from there. Thanks again for the comments.

Battery Replacement?

I have a 2016 Chevy 2500 diesel with 20,000 miles. That means the batteries are five years old. Should I replace them before they go bad? How long do they usually last? Any recommendations as to brand?

RE: Loose Grab Handle

I thought about somethin g that would match the interior a little. Thanks for the suggestions. (DW tends to be a tad picky about things sticking our of the walls)

RE: Loose Grab Handle

The metal plate on the inside sounds good. May give that a try.

RE: Loose Grab Handle

You've given me some ideas to try, Thanks.

Loose Grab Handle

The grab handle by the front door has three screws on top and three screws on bottom. The ones on top are loose. I've tried tightening them but it only works for a short time. There isn't much behind the wall for the screws to go into. I tried those plastic expanding things but that didn't work either. Any ideas?

RE: When to change oil

Thanks to you all for your responses. Everyone seems to do it a little different but pretty much all in the same mindset.

When to change oil

My truck (2016 Chevy diesel) gives me a percentage of oil usage left. At what percentage do you fellas normally change your oil? I normally will let mine get to around 12%-15%. Just curious if you change yours more frequently.

RE: Listen to your Dad

Wow! Glad you listened to good old dad. Can you elaborate a little on what kind of gage? I'm really curious, as well as I'm sure others may be. Describe it perhaps?
