RE: Fifth-Wheel Movie night

After you finish Longmire, give Ozark a try.

RE: Propane Switch: Was Red, Now Green

Possibly the reason it stayed green when you switched it back to the empty tank is due to it having pressure in the lines. Close your left tank. With handle pointing toward right tank, turn a stove burner on. This will relieve the pressure. Your gauge should turn red.

RE: Well, They gone and done it

DW buzzes mine. Last time I went to a barber he charged me a "finders fee."

RE: Question for those out on the road now

San Luis Obispo County, on the central coast of California, is on "lockdown status." Restaurants are all closed as of 5:00 PM today. Some will have take-out only. Bars, etc. all closed.

RE: Camco water filter

Thanks all. Never even thought about a Britta or Zero water. We'll give that some consideration. Appreciate the comments.

Camco water filter

We usually drink bottled water and reserve the campground water for cooking, showering, etc. Now, bottled water is getting close to impossible to find. For that reason, I picked up a Camco Water Filter. The package says last up to six months. I'm not sure exactly what that means. Six months of continuous use, or six months of using while camping every few weeks. How often do you change your Camco filter? The cg water is regular city water so I'm not too concerned with bacteria. More a taste issue with us.

RE: Disconnect battery when not using?

Openspaces: Thanks. Mine came with the trailer, but I don't recall if the dealer installed it or it came from the factory like that.

RE: Disconnect battery when not using?

If I read it right, one of the posters said to disconnect the battery when connected to shore power. I've always been under the impression that the battery needed to be connected in order for the converter to keep it charged. In fact, that's what the dealer told me 15 years ago. Is there a different way of thinking now?

RE: Water heater plastic plug

I believe a 15/16 socket will fit the half inch "NYLON" plug.:B

That what I was thinking, Sound Guy, thanks. So, what are the Suburbans made of. Metal?

Water heater plastic plug

I have an Atwood 6 ga. water heater. It uses a plastic plug as opposed to the Suburban heaters that use an anode rod. Talking among campers this morning one guy said he uses an anode rod in his Atwood tank, "Just to be safe." I'm certainly no expert, but I've never read on these forums that this is a good idea. Do any of you do this?

RE: "Lite" 5th wheels

Thanks for all the comments. I've talked to two different people here today who have Lite 5th wheels. One a Rockwood and one an Open Range. Both said they were very happy so far. I guess it's like one poster said, "It's the luck of the drawer."

"Lite" 5th wheels

I seem to be seeing a lot of 5th wheels that are designated as "LITE." What exactly is the difference? Any reason to avoid the so called Lite trailers? The guy next to us has a Rockwood Lite 5th wheel that is 5 feet longer than mine but is about the same weight. I was just curious.

RE: Very good video on Buddy Heaters

We use ours at outdoor soccer games. DW loves hers. We have given them to others for gifts. Best place to buy them so far is Walmart. Having watched the video, I still would not feel safe using it inside the trailer though. Just me.

RE: Help with water problem

I'd still be interested in knowing, as I'm sure others would, if you determined what the problem was.

RE: Help with water problem

Keep us posted on the outcome. I'd like to know what the problem/solution was in case I'm ever faced with the same problem.:)
