RE: Flexible solar controller cables?

you could use a terminal strip next to the solar controller to connect thicker cables from the battery and then a shorter pieces of thinner wire from the terminal strip to the controller that fit its terminals.
doing so will keep the voltage drop to the batteries to a minimum it depends on how far your batteries are from the solar controller.

RE: Flexible solar controller cables?

one of the reasons solar panel cable is stiffer than some other wire is the insulation is rated to be exposed to the sun and not break down it also has better abrasion resistance than some other wire.

RE: New smartphone direct-to-Starlink satellite service

globalstar Satellites powered by a proprietary network of satellites that are Always On, and Always Reliable.
The Globalstar Satellite Network
the iphone 14 says the service will be free for 2 years then there will be a monthly charge no word on how much though.
if you do a lot hiking or mountain climbing in areas without cell service it may be worth it. have to wait and see how well it works.

RE: Running portable generator off vehicle fuel tank.

he did pull fuel from the rv fuel tank as the compartment he used was the original generator compartment and the fuel line was already there.
when he filled the generator tank to full it would over flow into the catch bottle so he could see when the generator tank was full he later installed a night vision camera and a switch inside by his camera monitor to see the overflow bottle so he could release the momentary fill switch and stop the pump.
he had a hour meter and a compartment fan plugged into the generator also.

RE: New smartphone direct-to-Starlink satellite service

Not sure I'd count on being able to access a satellite that's only used under extraordinary conditions.
the satellite service used will be starlink internet service that is used daily by those who have it.
don't know if there will be a way to test it we will see

RE: Norcold 4150 three way not working in 12 volts

the manual says Push the source button several times, as illustrated. Push until the desired source
(A, ‘auto’) is selected and displayed.
If the engine is running, DC mode will be selected and displayed.
If the engine is not running, and 120 volts AC is available to the refrigerator, AC mode will be
selected and displayed.
If the engine is not running, and 120 volts AC is NOT available to the refrigerator, gas mode
will be selected and displayed
the manual says These models have 2 connection points to prevent the battery from being discharged by the
refrigerator when the engine is not running
there is a connection on the back that senses the engine running the manual shows D+ signal orange wire, + when engine runs the current draw when running on 12v is above 17 amps

RE: WIFI Light Switch

I pointed this one out to my wife and she says She Wants That. So I'll be the guinea pig and let you know how well they work. I'm ordering the 10 module package
i use a 6 switch rf remote with 3 remotes in my rv to control 5 different speeds plus off of a speed controller for my roof fan vent that is a car radiator fan mounted in a vent cover and it has worked perfect since 2014. i used velcro to mount the remotes to the wall one next to the bed so i can turn the fan up or down if its getting to cold or hot.
only bad thing is the non standard batteries for the remotes although they usually last a few years

RE: WIFI Light Switch

Do you happen to have a link to the RF switches?
rf switches like these rf remote switches amazon could work there are a lot of different ones available like another person said you may have to put the relay switch boards behind the light fixture and leave the regular light switches to work normally. the remote switches would work with the normal light switches in the off position then.
or these rf remote switches
