RE: Will water lines freeze?

Why take a chance, leave it winterized so you don't have to worry about it. If there is a ball valve on the fresh water tank it will freeze and break, don't ask me how I know. The low point drains will be exposed and freeze, the grey and black water drains will be exposed.

RE: Quality Decline since Covid

Am not so sure all the doom and gloom over poor build quality is warranted. I may find out differently as the camping season progresses but so far have not found the build quality of my 2021 Rockwood 2104S TT to be bad at all. So far have found nothing to complain about. When it comes to new campers one expects them to be perfect but they usually aren't and that's why the recommendation to do the first camp out in the driveway or some nearby park is sound advice. Have watched the videos on YouTube of the factory workers building these campers and those guys are working hard, not slacking off. There are a lot of parts going into the build of these campers so it is understanding to me there might be some glitches.

RE: Greasing the hitch

Have been using the double layer of wax paper for years, for better or worse maybe but the wax paper is some slippery stuff and never get grease on my pants. In the 40+ years before I started using wax paper I used nothing, no grease, no anything, just kept the components clean.

RE: Murphy Bed Option

Everything is a compromise, Murphy Bed or Regular Bed is too. One consideration on the Lance might be whether or not you are limited to keeping the factory mattress, can you replace it with something else. I would suggest that you spend some time practicing with the Murphy Bed setting it up and down. Not sure about Lance but most of the mattresses that come with these campers are not comfortable and a lot of folks replace them with something that is. Is the Lance mattress a 2 or 3 piece affair that folds?

RE: Fresh Water System Sanitizer

Tough Crowd I guess but it is what it is. A funnel and short section of hose or some similar method of pouring bleach into the fresh water tank, and then filling the fresh water tank accomplishes the same thing as this Inline Sanitizer. Had hoped that it would have had a way of metering the bleach slowly to insure that the bleach is more evenly distributed but it's a straight shot through the Sanitizer so looks like the bleach would pretty much blast right though.

Fresh Water System Sanitizer

Received this RV Inline Sanitizer today, haven’t tried it yet but looks like it should work. Just add 8 oz for every 40 gallons of fresh water when filling the fresh water tank, then turn on faucets until bleach is smelled, let sit for 12 hours, and then later flush system with fresh water. Camping World has it as does Amazon. There is a YouTube video showing it’s use also. Simple and at $28 it’s overpriced but if it works I won’t complain. www.rvinlinesanitizer.com

RE: Conclusion made: 95% of all TT's are a crapshoot

Have to shed light on the doom and gloom as it has been my experience that these campers are pretty well designed and made. Have had 4 travel trailers over a period beginning in the late 1970's and really have not had any issues worth mentioning with any of them. I think the worst issue was the PVC plumbing on the shower drain came loose causing a water leak and this was discovered near Anchorage after the long drive up the Alaska Hwy and was an easy fix thanks to a well supplied RV dealership in Anchorage. Other than that I remember making some modifications but nothing in the line of repairs. My last three travel trailers were KZ CL180, Keystone Passport, and Lance 1985, the first two of which made the long journey to Alaska and back so were well tested. The shackle bushings wore out on the trailers with the spring & shackle suspension but that is just normal maintenance.
