RE: Enclosed Trailer - External outlet

Not a safe thing to do. It would work but very dangerous. I would install a Power input connector which is a weather proof male connector and the cord would have a matching female connector. You can get a 15 or 20 or 30 amp connector if you wish, heck even a 50 amp connector. :)

RE: Residential Refrigerator

We went on a month long trip last year with a 5 cu ft chest freezer in our 5er running on a 1,000 watt PSW inverter all day and I would check on the freezer at every stop which were many and the compressor was hardly ever running. We have a single 12 volt battery. At night we had shore power & I would run the freezer on shore power and when we would hit the road in the morning the battery was just abt. full charge and I would put the freezer back on the inverter. This was a experiment, and now I will make the wiring permanent. Seriously considering a residental fridge when the time comes along with either a 2nd 12 volt battery or switch to 2 6 volt batterires. I know not exactly what you want to do but may give some idea. By the way the freezer only draws less than 2 amps. :)

RE: How do companies that offer FREE cloud storage make money???

Maybe I am just getting old, but I don't trust cloud storage. I prefer a couple external HDD's. :)

RE: How I my key count

Gee, thought I was the only one that bad off. Well, let's see? I suppose if there is a way to reduce the number of keys, it might be of benefit. Between remote controls for everything to all the keys for every thing and all the passwords for every thing, if there is a way to simplify all o them, I'm for it! Let's see, on my camper key ring, I have: 1. Key to the entry door of the camper 2. Key to the out storage hatches 3. Key to my bicycle carrier hitch pin so I can lock the carrier to the receiver (bumper) hitch (pad lock) 4. Key to the arm that goes over the bicycles to lock them to the carrier 5.Key to the bicycle cable for when the bicycle is not attached to the carrier. 6. Another key to the bicycle carrier to lock the arms in place which supports the bicycle. 7. And extra pad lock key for anything where I need another pad lock. Then, there is my vehicle-house key ring: 9. The key to my mother's house 9. The key to my house (fits all 5 doors for garage and house) 10. Truck Key for ignition and door 11. Key for the tool boxes on the shell of my truck (hatches, or whatever you call them). 12. Receiver locking Hitch Pin on my truck. 13. Key Fob for my truck 14. Key and Fob for my car At work: 15. I have on my lanyard (around my neck), my badge which opens the door at work. 16. A key to my overhead compartment at my desk 17. A key to the left hand set of drawers at my desk. 18. A key to the right hand set of drawers at my desk. 19. An electronic device that is needed to start and log into my computer when not inside the company. Yea, I sure could use less keys! Wanna talk passwords?

RE: Range hood fan speed control

I installed a PWM module about a year ago on our noisy exhaust vent fan and we love it, slowing the fan down makes it so much quieter and we can adjust the speed to meet the need.

RE: How long does your Surge Protector LAST???

There is no real way to tell if a MOV is still good. If it is cracked then surely it is bad. Forget about Surge Guard by TRC, get a Progressive industries, great customer service. Far sauperior to TRC.

RE: Run AC from inverter in truck?

Most likely it will never even start the compressor. Get a 3,000 watt generator.

RE: First time owner-Black water tank clogged....help!

Personally I would close the black tank valve & add a good healthy dose of Rix-x and let it sit 24 hours then add some more water and drain. Repeat this a couple of times till tank drains well. After that I would use with the tank valve closed and and add a dose of Rid-x after every empting for a few cycles to eat up all the solid matter in ther. After that only open the black tank to dump.

RE: Champion is a Champ

I have had my 3500/4000 Champion for about 8 years and love it for my purpose. I have only used it while traveling when it is extremely hot or in the camp ground when the power goes out. It does the job. At full load it is not much louder than a red or blue.
