RE: RV parks on the beach Florida

Here in Navarre, there are 4 campgrounds on the bay. I believe they all have a small beach on the bay.
The gulf is short (or long on weeekends) drive from all...

RE: I know I wandered off...

We went to the RV show in Tampa earlier this year. IIRC, there was only 1 traditional pop-up on site that we saw.
We had Starcraft and Venture pop-ups growing up. Went all over the US and Canada.

RE: Exploring Florida...Recommendations wanted

We enjoyed tent camping at Paynes Prairie Preserve/State Park. Didnt see the buffalo but did see the Spanish wild horses.
Nearby Sweetwater Wetlands Park is a nice day trip but you are in the open (sun screen/water needed).
Unfortunately, as with most (all?) FL State Parks, getting reservations will be difficult. The only way we got in was via walk-in tent sites.
Others have mentioned some great parks as well.

RE: Pensacola area... stuff to do?

Continuing the military theme - the AF Armament Museum in Fort Walton Beach.
The drive between on the island between Pensacola Beach and Navarre beach; it's part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore.
