RE: DIY project for Generator rack

What i did was i bought a trailer hitch for a motor home and cut it down so it would fit between the frame of my trailer and then welded it in then made my rack out of 2x3 angle iron which it 1/4 " thick made it he same size as my generator and mine weights in at 240 pounds and have never had a problem but if you do get it done get a good welder to attach to your frame and not the cheap bumper

RE: Stuck along a fence

and i don't think pulling it from the side would be very good for the wheels and axles or for that matter the frame not a good idea

RE: Traveling with glass

spaghetti sauce in a jar or can is gross way cheaper to make your own with a couple cans of tomato sauce and a packet of seasoning and some hamburger but yes we take glass jar with us when we go camping but we only do boondocking in the wilds of the forest.

RE: Another Atwood Anode rod question

Why You Need An Anode Rod In Your RV Water Heater. If you have a Suburban water heater, the tank is porcelain-lined steel and requires an anode rod to prevent corrosion of the steel tank. If you have an Atwood water heater, your water heater tank is aluminum and does not require one. So with that said i would not add an anode rod to my atwood water heater and the rotten egg smell is the product of the water being heated and cooled and then just sitting in the tank for weeks it concentrates in the tank my suggestion is to drain the tank while the unit is sitting inbetween trips

RE: Blowing fuse

might be a dumb question since it was on day 3 but is the water heater full of water if not then it would be the element burned out and blowing the 12 volt control fuse at least that is what happened to mine several years ago when we were dewinterizing the trailer the electric water heater switch accidentlly got turned on and it only took a matter of a few seconds to take everything out.

RE: question about battery

not to be mean but if you don't understand how the trailer operates then it is time to either take it to the dealer and have them explain everything or get rid of the trailer

RE: Kingpin Tripod Stabilizer

Don't waste your money I have 2 of them and the only thing they are good for is catching your foot on when you go around the front of the trailer or when you are getting into to the front compartment

RE: Dumb propane question

just open both valves that way you don't have to get up it will automaticlly switch to the full tank that way you can get a good nights sleep and then in the morning switch the handle that is on the regulator to the full tank and then you can take the empty tank and get it fill
