Purchasing a RV in another state

We are in the process of purchasing a Class A from a private seller in Mississippi. I have thirty days from date of purchase to get it registered, here in Texas, where we live. My question is...How or what do I need for license plates to travel back to Texas if the seller wants to keep his? I'm sure someone out there has had the same experience... Please share. Thanks for your responses. Skip

RE: Fuel mileage

OP here. Thanks for all the input. I don't worry about the $$$'s, but the rig I'm looking at buying has a 75 gallon tank. I was just trying to figure out about how far I can get on each tank full. Thanks again...

Fuel mileage

OK friends. I've read fuel mileage for a 35' gasser with the v-10 Ford engine pulling a 3500 lbs toad will be anywhere from 4 to 9 mpg. This is average traveling, not all level and not all hills. Please share your experiences. Thanks, Skip

Steering stabilizers

Looking at purchasing a 37 foot class A gasser in a few weeks. I read that a front end stabilizer is a good safety add on for front end blowouts, passing big rigs, and cross winds, for better control. What say you guys? And, what's your recommendations on available products? Thanks, Skip

RE: tow dolly brakes

OP here. Thanks for all the input. I'm leaning toward the surge brakes, as they have served me well on my boat trailers. My only concern now is that I'm rapidly approaching 70, and I don't bend as well as I did a few years back. And, we have a fairly new Toyota, and I really don't need the extra cost of trading vehicles for a four wheel down dingy plus braking system. Thanks again...You guys are great! Skip

tow dolly brakes

For those of you that use a tow dolly, which brake system do you prefer and why. I'm referring to electric vs. surge. I'm about to to pull the trigger on a class A, and will be needing a dolly. Thanks for your replies. Skip
