Yellowstone with pets

To those of you who have visited Yellowstone with pets I would like to know the pitfalls and how the trip went. I understand the park rules but just wondering how you handled having the dog along. I have a Golden Retriever and want to take him and we'll be making many other stops. I'd rather skip Yellowstone than leave him behind. Thanks.

Yellowstone heading east

Leaving Fishing Bridge CG in Yellowstone and heading towards Devils Tower wondering if Routes 14 and 16 are a good way to get over to I-90 while towing a 30' trailer. If not to those of you who have traveled this area what would be the easiest driving route? Thanks.

RE: Yellowstone second thoughts.

5th through the 10th gives plenty of time to mingle with the crowds. Lower loop one day, upper loop the second day, a day to relax or plan a hike or ranger activity, a day to catch anything that was missed or need to see again.
Sounds like a great plan, thanks!

Yellowstone second thoughts.

I have a trip out west planned for Mid May to Mid June. Planning on making Yellowstone NP one of my last stops before I head home to NH. Be getting there June 5th and staying through the 10th. I have reservations at Fishing Bridge CG which is inside the park. Reading some recent posts and talking to a few campground owners out there it is anticipated that every day there will be 35,000 people visiting the park. They said there would be a 2 hour line at the gates. Having 2nd thoughts about how enjoyable an experience that would be and thinking that I'll make Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore etc my western most stop and head back to NH.
For those of you who have been to Yellowstone recently does my info sound correct? Did you find that the crowds limited your enjoyment of the park? I don't mind getting up and about early even 5 or 6am if that would make the experience a little less crowded.

RE: 2013 Itasca V-10

I went to look at the coach today. It seems to be in very good condition. No water damage and the outside looks very nice. I'm hesitating on buying as the online photos make it look allot roomier then it actually was. Trying to decide if there is enough on the positive side to outweigh the negative of being a little cramped. I'm 6'2" so I need a little more room than some. Thanks again for the great replies. I appreciate it.

RE: 2013 Itasca V-10

Sounds good. just look closely for water damage, Under all windows and at the corners near the floor. As well as the roof seems.
The chassis portion will be just like a car. check all fluids and make sure there are no lights on.
Personally knowing the chassis. I would be more concerned about any "house" issues.
Yes I'm more worried about the actual house issues especially water damage. Not really worried about appliances etc.

2013 Itasca V-10

Looking at a 2013 Itasca Sunstar motorhome with a Ford V-10. It has a little over 37,000 miles on the drive train. Assuming it was well maintained can I expect allot more life out of the drive train or move on to something else? Thanks to all for reading.
Thanks

Storage West Viginia or Virginia

Hi all,
I'm looking for a reasonably safe and preferably covered (not essential) storage space for my 30' TT. Looking for someplace handy to the I-81 corridor in either West Virginia or Virginia. Any help is appreciated
