RE: Foggy Windows

Suncoast Designers in Hudson Fl did ours also, I will say this, one of the few companies in the RV industry that did what they said they would do in the time they said they would do it

RE: Foggy Windows

On your next trip down to Florida, Suncoast Designers will provide hook-ups for you to park and stay in your coach while the repairs are made to your windows. The usual turn around time is two days. They remove your windows, clean the glass, reseal the windows and re-install them in your coach. They even use water to test for leaks after the install. It is a very professional shop that starts at 7:00AM(maybe even a little earlier :)) in the morning. Suncoast Designers I should have added that Suncoast Designers has a LIFETIME guaranty on the windows they repair. They just did 4 of our windows. Great folks, did a superb job. Got done a bit early, and no extra costs. Lifetime warranty. We are very happy.... Al

RE: Foggy Windows

What about for the guy who still works and doesn't have the time to drive to Florida? People take them out and ship them back one or two at a time. Still cheaper than the $1200-$1500 per window new costs. You build a good re usable crate. There ARE DIY kits on EBay. I’m sure there are Youtube vids galore. shame on me for not remembering that shipping windows is an option. apologies. Suncoast Designers

X2 on Suncoast Designers. had them do windows in our previous MH.. excellent work! kept that MH for 11-yrs or so after the repair. no repeat problems. there are other shops doing this now...one in Arkansas and other in Oregon. google 'foggy RV window repair'.

RE: Foggy Windows

Proper repair will last years. Suncoast comes with a ten year warranty. Mine were done three years ago and still look new. I believe there is a place near Elkhart that repairs them. I paid about $300 a window. I couldn’t be happier with Suncoast. When I had my windows recently done at Suncoast Designers, they gave me a LIFETIME warranty. Here is the wording from their current warranty on their website: "Suncoast Designers warrants to the original owner that any Suncoast Designers manufactured or repaired RV insulated glass only, shall be free of manufacturing defects for the lifetime of the insulated unit."

RE: De-Fogging of RV Windows Shops?

I purchased my oun "supplies" to do my own windows but never got around to doing it "yet". Too late this year! Should have done them while wintering in the SW. Most jobs done by the inexpensive guys fog up after a couple years. Lets hear not only price but guarantee that goes along with each job. a few years after we purchased a new MH in 2000 we had several windows fog up. we had them cleaned and polished by Suncoast Designers in Hudson, FL. we kept that coach for roughly 10 years after the work was completed with no recurrence of fogging in the repaired windows.

RE: De-Fogging of RV Windows Shops?

yes, there are. a google search for 'Fix RV Fogged Windows' should turn up several. we had a bunch de-fogged at Suncoast Designers in Hudson, FL several years ago and can recommend them without reservation. two others that immediately come to mind are the RV Fog Doctor in Searcy, Arkansas and Dave Root RV Glass in Bend, OR. good luck.
