How could I not go? It's 15 minutes into NYC, and then another 15 minute drive up to CPW (Central Park West). Bonus snowfall for the artists on Sunday night...they must be thrilled.
...and by the way...Puck's first visit to NYC and he loved it...he's just so cosmopolitan!

I have received 2 cancellations for the rally, so the rally registration form has been put back on the web site.
If you're interested in attending the rally, and haven't yet registered, please register by filling out The 2nd Whenever RV.net Class B Rally Registration Form

I'm impressed by the sponsors...great job, Lynne! Also, it was fun seeing a picture of you. I had been thinking that the rally participants could post a pic of themselves to make us feel a little more familiar when we get there. What do the rest of you think? I don't know anyone, so my natural shyness is coming through!
Another thing: I was planning on going straight to the rally then taking a few weeks after to travel up through the New England states, into Canada, and down through Sault Ste. Marie and home. Now I need to be home by the first of June, so I'm thinking of doing the tour first, ending in PA. Any input from anyone about the weather in early May? I really want to see Nova Scotia and PEI, but don't want to freeze or hit the rainy season, if there is one. Maybe I should take a southern route instead?
I'm lovin' this retirement thing...I'm free, totally free!! (Now, if only diesel fuel was.)

Hi,
I am going to do the same thing but was doing it after the Rally. I am going to Vermont where I used to live on Lake Champlain and then over to Maine and would like to go on up but like you need to get home..(WHY???) I am retired!!! but thinking of first part of June to get back. I would think going the end of April would be alittle cool up North but what the heck...you have more to talk to someone about your experience and that is what it is all about. However, your questions are good as we do want to enjoy our travels. I would think that it would be cold to do it first to the North. My 2 cents worth.
With that rig and those dogs you will be a HIT with the group.
Will be watching for input from others on these good questions.

I have a fews roll of "D" State Quarters from the beginning of that time! Would anyone going to this rally want to exchange some "P" State Quarters for mine?
Little off the subject but not sure where to put this so others going to Rally would read it!

Hello Marty
I'm John and I was at the first rally, and I can tell you that by the time the welcome hour was finished none of us were strangers anymore...I see there are a number of us from the 1st rally who will be attending this one so I wouldn't worry about being bashful.
I'm from the Windsor/ Detroit area, Canadian side, and I can tell you that by the end of April, it's spring here. Daytime is going to be in the mid 50s to low 60s. The Sault is in the U.P. and it will most likely still be getting some snow. At least a month behind us with temps a good 10+'F lower. Right some cold me thinks. You won't be working on your tan for sure. However, having said that, it's got to be one of the most breathtaking places to see, for natural scenery. If you go be sure to see Tahquamanin Falls, and the museum at Whitefish Point where the Edmund Fitzgerald went down.
My advice would be to go after the rally if at all possible.
That's all.... see you in PA in May.... eh!!!!

The Average Temperatures for Nova Scotia seem to be between 41 and 49 degrees Fahrenheit in May. That's a bit cool for my tastes, especially if you factor in the wind that you'll encounter in most of the coastal areas.
We had a waterfront camp site in Bar Harbor, Maine a couple of years ago. It was the middle of June and I couldn't sit outside at night because the wind was so cold. It was awesome in the daytime, though! I really regret not having taken the ferry over to Nova Scotia on that trip.

Gary, I have a bunch of state quarters and I'll bring them along. The "pros" have told me that I'm wasting my time collecting the single quarters. They say that collecting full rolls of them is the only way to go. I lost interest after they told me that.
