I tried that photobucket site. I registered and tried uploading a photo. After about 10 min. nothing happened, I gave up. Maybe my dialup is the problem. Can I do it with a dialup or do you need DSL?

An other option if you dont have a program or dont want to download.
If your in win XP explorer right click on a pic, select edit and itll open paint. From there under "image" you can "stretch and skew" by percentage, you can 'stretch' it smaller. Use the same values and your pic will stay proportional. Be sure to "saveas" with a different name so you dont overwrite your original. Pretty basic but if your wanting to share in emails it sure speed things up.
Try different sizes and like Netboy showed youll see a huge difference in file (download) size. Quality goes down also but not as much. More folks will get to enjoy your pics if there a resonalbe size

Here's the simple way. XP
While in Explorer, right click the photo, pick send to, then mail recipient. A window opens pick, make my pictures smaller, then off to the email window, address it and put in your comments.

Well I finally got a couple photos in the Photobucket site. How do I get the URL. into the post? On the photobucket site I can't see the whole address under the picture. I guess when I do see it I write it down then come back here and put it in the post.

Thanks for the power toy link. Downloaded it yesterday and it works fine. Resize pops up in several of my program menu's now.
Like C.traveler I use Picturetrail as a photo storage site. The basic package is free and was easy for me to learn to use.
Tim, to get the URL with Picturetrail or any other photo I "right" click on the photo, a menu pops open with XP, left click on the "properties" at the very bottom, a pop up will open showing the complete URL, then just highlight the url, right click to copy, then take it to your post and right click again to post. You may have to add the proper s and slashes before and after the URL as needed.
This will work on the photo a couple of posts above showing a TC and truck.
Note: Due to invalid formatting, all formatting has been ignored.

Thanks Horseplay, that worked!
Tim. There are several ways to copy and paste. One way is to go to your photo on Photobucket, click once on the url, that highlights it, hit control c, that copies it to the clipboard. Then when you want to insert that image click on the image button, click once inside the empty box, hit control v, that pastes the url in the window. Sounds complicated but it's really not after you get used to it!

I appreciate all the help everyone is giveing me, But I just can't get it. I did what Joe said to do. I highlighted the picture, rightclicked it, went to properties, highlighted the url, and nothing comes up to copy it. My wife thinks I'm crazy spending all this time on here cursing and swearing. I can't believe everyone has to go through all this to get a picture on a post.
