Ok, we went 750 miles to St Cloud MN and bought a 2005 10-2000CD Northern Lite.

Promo Pkg.
A/C
Additional Battery Box
Battery Disconnect Switch
Bedspread Pkg
5000R Fantastic Fan
Electric Jacks
Pre wire for Microwave
Pleated Shades
Propane Auto Change Over
Sliding Propane Tray (2-20lbs tanks)
Rear Bumper/heavy duty steps
AM/FM Stereo, CD/DVD Player & Four speakers
TV Pkg.
Thermal Pane Windows (Glass, not acrylic)
Double door fridge/freezer

25% off list price, plus tax (freight & prep Included)

We will upgrade to a 350 in the near future but the 250 with factory camper pkg. holds it great.
I have no after market modifications on this truck and it doesn't sag a bit, no sway, nothing but steady and straight ride. (we are upgrading because I don’t have 4x4 but want it)

Stayed in it two nights on the way home with temps in the teens, did great and no sweaty windows or hatches. Hot shower in the mornings and cold Pepsi in the fridge. We ended up at Starved rock state campground, I won’t do campgrounds during the season but out of season… we were one of maybe 8 rigs in the whole place. They had electric hook ups but no water, but that’s ok since we brought our own. Great looking place, old oak trees everywhere. Couldn't even see the other campers.

OK, yes there is bad news to report. When I went to back the truck/camper into the barn (barn is cement floor and 12 foot ceiling) the AC is 2 inches too high to fit through the door. Even if it made it through the door it would have hit the door opener. Tomorrow we’re off to look at trailers to set it on and then we can wheel it into the barn. When we get 4X4 it would have been even that much worse.

Sounds like a very nice camper. May you continue to have great camping experiences.

Always glad to have some of that Michigan money spent in Minnesota.

Oh man. that is my number one choice for a camper. They ride real well from what I've heard. I bought the truck, a dodge dually, but can't make any moves right now. Lots of luck with it.

Hey spott,

Congrats on your new camper. I sent you an email response but I'm on a very poor conection and it is not taking it. It is strange how I can post here but can not send email.

I hope you have many years of great camping with your new NL. It sounds like a great rig.

Nice camper - sorry bout the barn door. I'm expecting the same problem, would like to hear what sort of trailer you pick and how you hook up to it. Hoping to use my 5X8 utility trailer with the cab-over over the trailer hitch. Not sure how I can hook up under the cab-over so I can move it on gravel apron to get it into shop.
