The problem I have is the bottom (both sides)of the slideout creeps out about an inch or so over a few days when retracted but the top stays in tight. Has anyone had this problem and can anyone offer a possible reason and fix. Thanks

A reason might be that the particular slide mechanism is not self-locking.
A fix would be to use aftermarket locking bars, or something you fabricate yourself, at the bottom edge of the slide, both sides.

There is no way to install the bar on one side because the kitchen slideout covers it up. It only started doing it a few weeks ago.

Locking bars are not the answer here. It sounds like you have a hydraulic valve that is just slightly leaking. if you are handy, it is quite easy to replace, and if memory serves me, about $60. But first try this. Locate where the pump is (should be mounted to the left side frame rail, just rear of the cab). On the pump there is a round cylinder with a t-handle on it (about 2" dia). Turn that handle clockwise slightly, to make sure it is seated properly. Do not overtighten, it only requires moderate pressure. If your unit has the small valve (1."dia) there will not be a t-handle, just a very small nut. Using a screwdriver, put back on the nut and let itsnap closed a couple of times. Put your slide back in and see if it still creeps. It if does you will need to replace the valve, which only requires a channel-lock wrench. They are threaded in and just turn out.
