What brand is your motor home Ford Chevy Dodge ect. I have been asking if I should get an exhaust brake on my motor home and most are saying no. I have an 84 Ford E-350 with a 6.9l Diesel with a C-6 trans. Being told a exhaust brake will not work properly with the setup I have. Just wondering what setup you are running.

Its a ford powerstroke, 3 sp. trans. w/ OD. I was told that it wouldn't work for me too, because of the auto tranny...call Charlie at CATS Transmission in Farmington NM (505-325-6121), he will tell you if it'll work or not. He installed one by US GEAR for us and I can't imagine not having it now! Good Luck...
