On out get-outta-town ahead of the storm a couple of weeks ago we managed to get about 200 miles south of Ft Collins befor pulling into a truck stop for the night. Next morning I took this picture of how nicly the deck and steps functions with the trailer still connected. LOML can still get in/out and the trailer isn't an obstical.

Did you pull into a truck stop or a Wallmart. Can't tell.

I thought that truck in the background might suggest otherwise, but it was a truck stop south of Colorado Springs about half way to the border.

Good thing the bedliner coating is non-slip and the hand rail is in place. [emoticon]
I like how you resolved carrying the ladder too.
All you need now is a boot scrubber anchored to one side and you got all the bases covered. [emoticon]

Very nice job!

Is the deck mounted to the sewer hose tube (bumper)?
Did you make it from scratch or use a kit?
Would you share your construction instructions?

Thanks

No. The deck is mounted to pivot points welded to the jacks. In travel, it pivots up and is secured to anchor points bolted in at the mounting station where thre jacks are bolted to the camper

Did you make it from scratch or use a kit?

It's scratch built. Welded up out of angle and decked with cedar planks; scrap from Home Depot

Would you share your construction instructions?

Sure - but it's a simple deck 24" deep and as long as the distance between the jack housings. I'll post some pictures of the chain suspension in the next day or so. I'm recovering from a killer 12 hour flue episode so maybe tomorrow or so.

Thanks
DogLady
