Saw your post for suggestion of small dog to travel with. I suggest a Shih-Tzu. We have a male and female that jump in anytime the door is open as they are ready to go. No shedding and only weight 10-14 lbs. They love to be your companion. Just came back from a week-end and even took our 2 babies left from a litter. Male is Booger Bear Jack and female is Lucy Lou Lepeuw. ..... Have had labs, border collies, spaniels, and shih-tzu's have been our best breed.
Never have to worry if we forgot the dogs, as they remind us they are ready to go anytime.

Barbara & I have a minature Dacshund that travels with us. Isn't the only reason to get an RV is so the dog can travel with you?

Our Cairn terrier is a great little traveler. Only about 13 lbs, doesn't shed, loves to go.

I think will keep Rving, we feel so guilty leaving the dogs behind. This summer were strictly Rving it for a change.

Our two dogs( 35 lbs. each) are great travelers. There wising up on rest areas and gas stations. We can't say rest stops or rest area anymore because they know it's the next stop and they'll get a walk. If you stop at a gas station they want another walk. They know the routine.

We went to the animal rescue in Suwanee County 2 years ago for a little dog that didnt shed to camp with us. We now have the MOST beautiful 70 lb dog that sheds but is the best camper we could possibly want. She doesn't yap like a little dog and she is better behaved than any child out there.

CZ1....I have to agree with you on a Shih-Tzu for being a great traveling dog. I've seen a lot of them on the road and they are great travelers, plus so sweet. I think the Shih-Tzu is Jessie's favorite dog. She really lights up when she see's one.
