I am not sure if this is okay to post
pictures outside the photo sections
so please forgive me if I have errored.

When I first joined your site I posted
on TC storage on a non level surface.
Here is a photo of the grade I am
dealing with. I do take the camper off
the truck and store it here as well.

Here is an idea I borrowed from netboy
using 3/8 inch steel to make a double
duty chair rack/table.

I never trusted those silly fridge cover
clips so I added some fasteners I had a
little more faith in.

I hated the idea of storing fire wood in the
camper cause of all the bugs so I built
some firewood boxes that go on a hitch rack.

They double as nice fireside tables for drinks
and games.

I hold them onto the rack with the same hardware
as on the fridge cover. They are threaded into
the rack and then secure into the metal base plate
of the wood boxes.

Lastly in regards to last weeks License obstruction
topic. Here they are and to me that plate is not
obstructed.

Thank you all for your ideas and support.

Thanks,
Mike

I like your ideas....however, I have to say....I'm glad I'm not your neighbor living on the downside of that driveway!!!!!

I am so clever that sometimes I don’t understand a single word of what I am saying.

Great pics, you have good ideas. I hope it would be ok if I used a couple of them. Keep up the good work.

The problem with (lots of) pictures in main-line topics is that a few people still have to rely on dial up service to connect to the RV.net. Obviously, pictures tend to clog their bandwidth and ruin their day.

On the other hand, a picture is worth a thousand words so we _all_ tend to post too many pictures in main-line topics [grin!].

+ + + + +

I like your thinking to level your rig (by backing over inclines). I figured I would use the same solution (either with over the counter products, or, home-made if I needed more lift) to level my truck if my grade proved to be too great. We have about a 6% grade, though, so we managed without any truck leveling.

... You can change your oil and dump your camper at the same time [grin!].

Hey Testudo,

Thanks for the information about photo posting. I will
use the photo section moving forward. Speaking of dumping
as a new TC owner I was looking for dump stations in my
area when only a couple weeks ago I noticed that round
opening in my driveway visible on the first photo.
BINGO!

Thanks,
Mike

Good post, and it's ok to have your own thread/topic for your pictures, I wouldn't worry about the dial up users because I am on dial up and I post photos alot and I look at others photos no problem. (I connect at 50K) If you want to warn dial up people you can put something in the topic that says "with photos".

Keep up the good work, let us know if you do more mods. I get much more out of a photo than a whole page of words and I think others do too.

Mike,

Pictures are cool.

Tell us about your ramps. I'm re-thinking mine and trying to design something lighter. Are yours plywood?

Thanks for pictures. IMHO I think pictures of tips are worth more than a thousand words. And it is ok to post pics in a post.

Is your driveway that steep that you could not use the leveler blocks with an added chock. to accomplish the same thing. Which would be a tad safer for the neighbor across the street? [emoticon]

Liked your box idea and the bike rack for a table. Always nice to see inovative ways to make RV'ing easier.

[quote=rexford]Hey Testudo, Thanks for the information about photo posting.[/quote] Don't sweat it _too_ much (we all break 'the rules'). I'm hardly the one to take advice from when it comes to 'the rules' around here [grin!]. We _could_ _link_ photos to our topics but hardly anybody ever bothers to do that. Remember, you can always PersonalMessage 'BradW' (the sysop for this forum) if you really want to know what's going on around here.

Thar ya go !!! (As long as it doesn't say, "WATER", on the cover [grin!].)

We have an access to a Kelly fitting in our garage that was left proud of the concrete after construction. This past Winter I went to significant trouble to cut that down and recess it into the conrete so it wouldn't be in the way. Now, with stuff to dump from the new camper, I ended up making a two-foot high; 45 degree extension for it.... [shrug].
