There seem to be a lot of RVers who are hams or are interested in amateur radio. There are a couple of very good nets, RV Service Net is one I'm aware of, but very few, if any on the Internet.
To remedy that KU4OJ is now administering a web site at http://openroadsradio.net that is specifically about RVers and amateur radio.
It's non-commercial and is in ists seminal stage, but take a look. So far a lot of the "members" first heard about it from RV.net

Funny you posted that as we (my wife) and I just discussed that last night.
I'm not a Ham but I have some interest as I'm outgrowing my existing hobby.I'll check out the website !

Take a look. I think you'll be more than welcome and learn a lot while you are there.
I've only been a ham for three years, but it has been a very interesting and satisfying endeavor. I wish I had done it earlier, but I didn't know enough about it.

I tried to register at the site several days ago but the anti-spam letters that you have to enter as part of the registration process don't show up for some reason.
I sent them an email but haven't received an answer yet.

There's a "refresh" button near the anti-spam image. If you can't read the image, and I often can't, click refresh and another set of letters will come up that might be easier to read.

Tried that several times but nothing shows up in the box. It's not a matter of not being able to read it - there just isn't anything there.
On other sites the characters show up okay.

I remember that I had that same problem and I don't remember how I got past it. I'm sure the administrator will take care of it and I look froward to seeing you there.

I just registered. No problem with the antispam image. Will see if the email turns up.
Looking forward to some activity. Just back from a 9,000 mile MD to NV & rtn to MD trip. Managed all of 2 2M contacts on 52. Very disappointing. Where IS everyone?
