I've got to go to Death Valley sometime. I don't have a Jeep anymore. Do they allow quads on the trails?

Great pics.

Nice pics and write-up. I've been to most of those places in my old Scout II and a Jeep XJ (in our tent camping days), so it brought back a lot of good memories. Now we have to go back with our truck & TC.

Quads are allowed on BLM land from Ballarat up to Death Valley National Park borders in both Pleasant Canyon and South Park Canyon. Quads are not allowed in DVNP

I don't think a TC would make it up either Pleasant Canyon or South Park Canyon. Pleasant Canyon had just been trimmed and the Jeep still rubbed multiple times on the thick brush. There are at least 2 tunnel like stretches through the thick brush. South Park Canyon has Pucker Point and a 3 ton weight limit bridge.

Yeah, let me clarify. No way I would go up Pleasant Canyon with my Dodge/Outfitter rig. I just meant going back to Death Valley in general and doing more toned-down 4x4 trails (of which there are quite a few that would be fine with my set-up). I already got some desert pinstripes almost to my roof line from last months White Rim Trail trek, so I don't need too many more "decorations" for a while. [emoticon]
