At one point in our buying decision we looked hard at doing something like that but the greater versatility of the truck/TC/flat bed trailer combo won out.

When I was a teenager working a fireworks stand, they owner set up a camper for us. It was mounted on an old truck bed that was cut off and a hitch added to the front. Sure worked for us to take a nap.

Do you see many of these out West? I'm wondering if there is a niche market out there a small TC manufacturer to team up with a goose neck trailer manufacturer and sell a few of these as special/custom order items.

Somebody makes a travel trailer with a deck on the rear, for hauling an ATV or two. We looked at them, but the cargo capacity isn't enough for a Jeep Wrangler, and apparently they have no interest in making a stronger one, so no sale.
I thought about putting my camper on a trailer like that, but the way the TC is built, it would be very difficult. It isn't worth the trouble.
It would be great, though, camper on the front, Jeep on the back, and AWWAAAAYYY we go!
Oh, yeah, can't forget the boat trailer connected to the back of the gooseneck trailer! (yeah, it would be legal here. Well, OK, perhaps too long, but they never check that!)

I've never seen one of those as a factory made deal, but I have seen home made ones on occasion out at the desert. Necessity is the mother of invention....
I have thought about doing that when I had my camper. I think it would be cool, but it would also still be a substitute for what I really wanted when I toyed with the idea-- a gooseneck stock trailer with living quarters. Basicaly the same thing as a truck camper on a gooseneck flatbed, except with the cargo area enclosed and the camper door on the side, and not quite as 'redneck' (not that redneck's a bad thing!).

What's on the back of the truck? Is that a monster generator?
