More power to 'em. If it gets him to spend time with his daughter, family and friends...then have fun! His coolness factor as a "geek dad" probably went up a few notches in his kids eyes!
A Fun weekend project, for a weekend camping trip with friends or family.
And come on, some paper stuck to the inside sticky parts, and your safe from getting stuck to the wall. Use just a tad of the ingenuity demonstrated by this guy.

But would it pass the 10 year rule? He just built it, so I guess he's good to go for the next 10 years????

I would wager that this fellow and his daughter are closer now than they were when this started. I wouldn't give two hoots and a holler about the camper but the quality time he got with her cannot be bought. Socks and sandals or no I think he is one cool dad.

Hi,
When I first read this post, I was thinking it was a truck mounted camper. But I see that it is actually a utility trailer, so it is a duct tape enclosed trailer!
I would have used cardboard boxes to make up the framework - as well as the PVC tubing that will add a lot of rigity. THe cardboard would add insulation and keep your hair from sticking to the inside edge. The duct tape will add waterproofing for at least a few weeks. And adding cardboard will make the roof flap around less.
It looks like a great project! Very interesting too.

That is one incredibly cool Daddy! In this day and age to see a teenager spend quality time with her Father is very heartwarming.
Thanks for sharing the story.

Wow !!... that is so neat... I watched each of the little movies and loved it...
I just sent Scott and Randy an email telling them how much everybody loved their project and to please come back with more movies as they progress along... and especially let us know how the camping trip turns out with the "Duct Tape Camper"..

TWO CENTS WORTH
The story goes that a man died and was approached by the Devil who told him that he could buy his soul back for a dollar. The man searched his pockets and could only come up with 98 cent. While begging the Devil to forget the two cent he was short, an Angel happened by and hearing the Devil laughing, asked the man, "Would you mind if I put in my two cents ?" The Devil got so mad that he exploded in a puff of smoke and the man's soul was saved.
The moral: Sometimes putting in your two cents worth makes a difference.

I do assume/hope you are joking. I imagine there is a very good possibility that this teenager and her Dad will read this thread and that could be taken as a very rude remark and I am sure you wouldn't want that to happen now would you? ![awink [emoticon]](http://www.rv.net/sharedcontent/cfb/images/awink.gif)

So very true...I wish that some of the parents of my bus kids could see this...What's nicest about this is that they are getting outside together and it's not soccer or softball...
