Hello Dave,

Another fantastic post, beautiful pictures, and commentary second to none. I may pick your brain later on your mounting system for the canoe. Sure hope you get that "air under pressure" thing sorted out.[emoticon] ...How come your the only one with a fishing pole? [emoticon]

Ben, I don't know for sure ok, but I've heard that as the stern of the canoe ages...the air leak gets worse. Tell me it's not true![emoticon] And Lynn doesn't fish, hard to believe. Let me know if you need info on mounting racks. Regards to you and the wife.

Claybe, It's a Charles River by Old Town Canoes. It was recommended to me by a new canoe friend at REI. 16 ft. 3 in. and 62 lbs. it's made out of Royalex and seems to be extra light. Putting it on top of the camper using a "boat loader" bar from Yakima is real easy for just me alone. Don't know other canoes, but it's a breeze to use and very stable for first timers. There are other canoes that don't arch as much, called "rocker", and would be easier to mount but aren't quite as maneuverable. So I've been told. Feel free to PM if you need any other info, however I'm no expert.

Thanks for another GREAT read Dave.

Are you sure the "air under pressure" issue isn't related to the bean powered propulsion system you are said to be working on?
