Thanks for sharing. I plotted your basic route out on Delorme Street Atlas for a possible "follow the leader" trip. See you at the New York rally. Scott is thrilled you are coming so he isn't the only pop-up.

What a fun looking trip with a wide range of scenery. From the city to the country, great pictures. Thanks for posting and letting me see what another part of the country looks like.

Thanks for looking!!!We enjoyed the differences between city and beyond....mostly the beyond, but had to say we were there. I had made a similar trip back in 1981 with my folks in a van when growing up and the wife had never been to any of these places.

How long were you on the road and where did you cross the border.

We were on the road a total of 3 weeks. Took our time. Had an outlined agenda and the only specifics were up through our visit in Oakville (Toronto)to see friends that we had not seen in over 10 years.

We crossed into Canada at the Niagara Falls crossing and returned just east of 87 / 15 in NY on route 11 (US) / 223 (CA). This was just north of the Lake Champlain Islands and minutes from VT. Figured there would be less traffic at the border. We were the only ones!!!

Next time in Vt I can show you a few of the local brew pubs

I'll take you up on that...may even have to plan a special trip. [emoticon]

If you're ever driving from Vermont to Montreal/vice-versa, PM me.

I almost could have used your assistance. Our choice to stay in Montreal did not pan out as hoped and we ventured further on. Only time the whole trip. Made the next day easier and put us ahead of what we were thinking at that time.

Wow, great pictures, I always loved driving thru Canada using that route. Any more pictures of Montreal?
Nothing like a Dakota to keep from exceeding the weight limit of that covered bridge!

I can show them to you at North Hudson... [emoticon] (Noticed you weren't on the list to attend) Not that I had to worry as much as others, but the other side did not have a weight limit sign (I looked prior to driving through) I did not notice the sign on that side until the picture. Didn't look over my shoulder.

Nice post. Seeing the weight limit on that bridge caused me to look again at your truck.....I guess you must eek under the 6000 fully loaded? I'd be almost 2 feet and 6 tons OVER the limit! [emoticon]
