One more truck camper road trip for the season. We headed up to Crater Lake National Park then drove up the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway to the Camp Sherman area. After that we drove over the McKenzie pass, up to Detroit Lake and down to Silver Falls State Park. Then we drove to Lincoln City and followed the coast all the way back down to central California.
A great trip with lots of great sights. Here's Part I
Crater Lake National Park
I'll get the rest posted later this week
happy camping everyone

Thanks for the pics. I have only ever been up to Diamond Lake in the winter with our ATV's. Never seen the actual camp sites, as they are buried in about 9 feet or more of snow. Gunna have to go up there with my boat and kayak sometime.

Great trip!!! I love Fall camping too.
I've driven by Crater Lake but never spent any time there. Guess I'll have to now. Very beautiful.

Great photos, thanks for posting.
Is there access to the water at crater lake? I would have thought we would see a kayak or two in some of your pics, but I didn't notice any.

The sides of Crater Lake are straight down all the way around. There is one main trail that goes down but it is quite a hike. I wouldn't want to pack a boat down there. Actually, I wouldn't want to pack a boat UP from the lake.

Great trip, nice photos. It's been awhile since we've been to the Mt. Mazama area. Got to get up there again. Maybe you could clue us into the place where you can pick up the firewood already cut like that... Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to see the next installment.
