Great pics. Now I know why my sister keeps saying we've got to see more than just the coast of Oregon.

We were at Crater Lake in early September. It's true, words really can't describe how beautiful it is there. We took the hike down the side of the crater and went on the 2 hour boat ride around the lake. It is definately worth the effort of the hike, about 20 minutes down and 35 to 40 minutes back up. I'd recommend this trip to anyone, it is really amazing there.

Our family camped at Diamond Lake in July. Guess what? We had sites F-4, F-5, and F-6. Beautiful place except we had clouds of small bugs/flies around. Swarms of them completely covered the front of my sons camper turning it black.
I hope it was a lot better when you were there.

That would be the fly hatch, it was extremely late this year and heavy (due to the long winter). Myself, CTD Hauler, Mjgcamper and f100jetmechanic were there in July, over in G-3,5,7,8, the hull of my boat was crawling with them along with my arms and legs.

You can put two and two together to realize the fishing sucked [emoticon].

However, we weren't too bad for bugs once we got away from the water.

Did you ask how they got the boat down there?

Unless the person who informed me was wrong, the most recent boat was brought in via one of those large logging choppers.

You are right Matt. They air lifted the new tour boat in. Erickson Crane out of Medford did the job. I saw it on the news & it looked cool to see the boat fly.
