Great photos. Thanks for sharing them!

Also, the oil pressure on my former truck (2003 Chevy Duramax 3500 -basically same truck as Sleepy's) would also peg at about 30PSI on idle like that-normal for that motor.

My grandparents lived in Red Bluff when I was a kid. Hottest place I've ever been. I've been to Pheonix, but not in August...

124F just plain isn't comfortable!

When we are in the Phoenix area we usually park at The White Horse Pass Casino. There were a bunch there when we arrived this year... and they leave when it hits 100 degrees.

In an earlier post you mentioned central California... but now you say you're in Pheonix? Sorry, I'm easily confused....

So are you headed to the NW any time soon?

There is a man made river running from the casino to the 4 star Sheraton Hotel. It is 1 1/4 mile long with disney-like boats to haul passengers back and forth. (Be sure to tip the boatman). The hotel has a nice gift shop.

Rawhide... a western town that was moved to White Horse Pass from Scottsdale about 3 years ago is next to the casino. The steakhouse has as good a streak as you'll find anywhere. We went there with spokncarl.

The every day and evening views at the casino parking lots are nice too!

This is after everyone but us had left... it was above 100 degrees that day.
