There is nothing that makes a boondocker less happy than to hear the sound in the night of a motorhome pileing on! Rudely getting as close to you as he can.

We are parked in a legal parking spot, with the $8 parking fee paid.

A motorized house trailer pulled in in the night parking accross 6 parking spot. None of them paid for (would be $48/night). Attracting unwanted attention.

When he leaves he'll probably pull his dump handles.

It's times like these that ruin opportunities for those of us that stay "legal".[emoticon]

After leaving Canyon de Chilly we headed north again... to the "4 Corners" and beyond passing through some of the Momument Vally like buttes.

The side entrance is nice during pit stops and lunch breaks

Is this a value or WHAT!

While you were out there did you catch Salt River Canyon? The GF sister lives between Snowflake and (Guy named snow and a guy named flake, most the snows are now gone still many flakes around)and Show Low. The Salt canyon is another cool undiscovered place. We get to go out there and poke around once in a while. I would like to try that LT20 if you get no other takers.

The LT-20 request came in by pm last night from JoeChiOhki ... if he changes his mind you are next. It is a stand-alone copy... not an upgrade.

UPDATE:

The MH that snuggled up to us in the night turned out to be a Prevost with a music graphic on the back and the license plates weren't form kalifornia.... we might have had stars close by... are times that hard for preformers?

On Friday my wife and I spent much of the day at the California Capital. It is a beautiful building... not to be missed if you are in the area.

We enjoy seeing how governments function. We have visited more than 30 of our capitals.

We hoped to see the legislature hard at work solving the states finiancial crisis.

The Assembly (like the house of represenitives in other states) didn't show at all... must be something going on more imporant that the budget.

The senate finally showed up almost 1 hour late... voted on three bills to suspend the rules and disappeared.

It was later reported in the news that they were working hard on the budget... must be committees.

we stopped in Cortez, CO at the visitor center...and then on to Mesa Verdi.

My wife felt safe on this section of road... soon we were on hog backs that were 2000 feet above the surrounding areas... scary for those with acraphobia (if that is being afraid of heights).

But what you see from the top is worth it.The area was flat when you get up there.

We ended up checking into the lodge... if we came back down I knew that I'd never get her up there again.

We'd recommend the Lodge up there.
