My wife and I took off Thursday morning and returned Sunday evening. We had a fantastic time visiting some of Floridas State Parks. We stayed at St. Joe Peninsula Park and Florida Caverns State Park in addition to one night in a Walmart Parking Lot. We also visited...3 Rivers State Park, Torreya State Park, Wakulla Springs State Park and Cedar Key State Park. Here is a photo sampling.

Excellent pics, the panhandle beaches are some of the finest in the WORLD. The Florida State Park system is first rate, that is why I rarely leave the state.

Where did you carry your bikes?

We have a 4 bike carrier that inserts into the rear receiver. It folds down to allow access to the camper door. I am thinking of installing a hitch on the front so that I can add a hitch carrier to the rear. I need a place to carry firewood and other stuff that I don't want in the truck or the camper.

I've been thru Sopchoppy on our way to Ochlochonee State Park. Saw a Florida black bear cross the road just south of Sopchoppy.[emoticon]

You picked a beautiful weekend. Thanks for the Pics. They really help to decide on destinations for those week-end getaways. Did you have any trouble with the Florida reservation system?
