Great photos and trip report as usual! Great sense of humor. Wish I could write like you.
You should consider doing this for a living (if you don't already).
Looking forward to a report from Utah.

Was that cart a photoshopping cart?
As you have guessed we are off the grid in Joshua Tree, will be in touch soon...with a new hat.

Yup! I found the Farctic Oxen grazing south of Joshua Tree. They must be sturdy to climb over those mountains and huge boulders in Joshua to get down to the valley here. They're cute but they made these horrible grunting sounds something like "wha...zooo, wha...zooo." By nighfall, they lumbered away from our house and disappeared heading northeast.

Post Script: I will be back to "The Creek" next month for a 2 hour swim, climb & slide down thru the slot canyon with a 30 foot jump at the end into a bottomless pool of water. This is an open invitation...BTG, you there? No namby pambies, as once started there is NO climbing out & the water ccccold!!!
Yep, I'm here as always, enjoying the pics and story. Can I retire yet? Couple of things:
You have to find me a way around the 12'3" bridge! Or of course, we can unload your Outfitter on the other side, then you can drop my little 1191 onto your truck to take it across, right? OK, problem solved.
I'm always in for the cold swims...though I'd bet your Arizona water is no colder than the high mountain lakes I swim in from time to time. A 30 foot drop is OK too, but are you saying once you jump in, you can't get out? Treading water until I retire or expire doesn't sound like as much fun.....
Awesome trip & report from all you guys....I'll be down there one of these days, just a question of when.
