Have spent a few evenings sitting outside or standing at the bar here. A great place to dine or have your beverage of choice and watch the boats go by. A really cool looking burl bar. All of Port Townsend is a fun little town to explore, just leave your credit cards in the camper, there are some pricy little shops that the ladies just love.

I am not affiliated with this bar at all, except for possibly helping them make there monthly rent a few times.......

Get up here out of that heat! Can't beat the ocean. Desert is hot, beautiful, and dangerous.

Thanks Tizi - I really enjoy your photos - I am in striking distance of visiting these places, being in Portland.

Why don't we plan a trip together? Western/Eastern, WA? Oregon coast?

Wow, great pictures and information on Fort Worden. I know the Forts are pretty popular. We are going to Fort Flagler in middle of September. That was the soonest reservation we could get.

I have a 12:45 ferry from Port Townsend to Whidbey Island tomorrow and checked out Ft. Worden (hadn't seen your post yet). I decided $33 (upper campground) was a bit pricey since I don't use hookups and am used to Forest Svc "half off" prices.

Decided on Old Fort Townsend State Park instead. $19 but a few miles south of town. Small spaces for RVs right next together, but since there is only one other camper in this area, it's nice and quiet. A short walk to the water. And a high speed Net connection with my Verizon card (very important)!

PT & Ft. Worden look like a neat places to explore. I won't have time to do it, but I'll grab breakfast in town before the first ferry trip for my camper! Beats the heck out of Cheerios in the camper. [emoticon]

A bit busy for the next few months; A Northern Lite Owner's Club get together sounds like a fun idea...

Yeah, that does sound cool. How many do we have in the area?
