I'm sure you are exactly right. To this day, I can still smell the bacon cooking in a cast iron skillet over an open fire when I was camping in the "Smokies" as a kid.

The bacon was probably a little limp and the eggs overdone, but to this day I'm not sure I've had a better breakfast!
