Seldom, thanks for the pix! We were in the same area a year ago in late May, just south of Timp -- maybe the best trip we have ever taken. A truck camper is the way to go in that area -- we dragged our poor little trailer out there, over those rough roads. No damage, but we had to take it real slow. Anyway, here are some more pix:

I laughed when I saw the pics from your visit to the area - the camp chair on the rim is classic "seldom" style! I applaud your intrepid journeys to the wilder side with your TT - sometimes getting there is as much about attitude as it is having the right equipment.

The Rainbow Rim trail looks like a great hike. I've only traveled the 3 miles between Timp and North Timp, and would like to see more some day - Not that I need much excuse to go back!

P.S. If anyone wants to see better resolution pics from this trip, I'll be posting them to my blog soon - I understand the posting limitations, but the 640 x 480 pics don't do the area justice.

Beautiful pictures and writing, Eric. The north rim will never get old.
Wait a minute -- it is old, sort of. Well , you know what I mean.

On our recent trip to the GC we found ourselves saying Wow!, way too much. But WOW! again SeldomSeen. Those pics are some of the best I've seen and I can see our next trip that way already forming in my mind. Great Post.
