Great report! That trip is the exact reason my heart was always in this neck of the woods since I first saw it the summer after 6th grade - finally had the opportunity to move out here in '94 and those sights are local for me now. We're taking the bikes and doing Jellystone, Beartooth Hwy and the Chief Joseph/Sunlight Basin next weekend -

Glad you had fun out here -

We lived in Wyoming for a few years and I once heard two mosquito's talking. One said should we eat him here or take him home? The other said lets eat him here if we take him home the big boys will get him.

But I heard the same conversion in Florida last year, come to think about it.

Great pictures, looks like you had a great trip! Sorry about the transmission.

Thanks for all the positive comments. This was an amazing experience and I would encourage anyone "on the fence" to just do it.

Silversand you are right....I do have a fresh perspective..."on life"

DUBYA try this link (hope I did it right) to see the setup I use to carry the bikes and cargo carrier.

Nice trip report.
You really covered all the bases on your travels.
Bummer on the trans but goes with the territory hauling a load.
Hope you get un-laid off ASAP.

thanks for sharing!
also, some guages for your 7.3! then you can track not only the tranny temps, but the EGT too! tell me, what tranny did you go with? for that price, i personally would have stepped up to a BTS (I know, you were kinda stuck).

Thanks for making me jealous of your trip!
