Congrats on your 20 years. As for the lights overhead, if it was around the 8th and 9th,, the ISS and shuttle were separated and went over head with a separation that appeared to be a fist apart. They were bright and went over Las Vegas at 7:45PM last Tuesday evening ( 9-9-09 ).

Linda and I wish you a Very Happy Anniversay Year. We are celebrating our 50th this year and so far have done 11,000 miles of touring and hopefully will continue to travel together as much as we are able. We believe that this is the stuff that allows us to beat the odds in the marriage-go-round. We met a couple at Glacier Point above Yosemite Valley this summer. Pete is 94, Nancy is 88 they were driving a neat little conversion van and still out there doing it!
Them that wanders together, stays together! We say............

Great pictures. Did you ever find out why they left those cars along the banks?
Also, how did you haul your kayaks?

I don't know the real reason for the cars but I do think someone thought erosion control. We didn't carry the kayaks, we went to a livery and just rented. They drove us about 7 or 8 miles upstream and we just made our way back.

Congrats on 20 years!!! [emoticon]

Great thread and pics, thanks for posting. Beautiful country!!!

Rental kayaks, that explains the #'s on the sides.

When leveling my dually I turn around when necessary and raise the front end. Takes half the blocks to support the two front tires vs the rear 4. Plus it lowers the rear steps instead of raising them. [emoticon]

I started out with the front on blocks but since I couldn't get the 10" needed, I turned around so our heads would at least be above our feet. I can understand a slope on camping pads for drainage but these sites were obnoxious.
