jefe - Thanks for reporting on a little known area. This is the kind of exploring we hope to do when we are retired. [emoticon]

So that's what Vancouver Island looks like where the map says, "Thar Be Monsters Here". Hope the Compline Chior was fun and interesting for you guys.

A very different kind of trip for us. How can I tell? Every day was a week long.

I want to know your secret - if I could find a way to make my time off last that long, think of the places I could get to! [emoticon]

Great trip report - everything looks so GREEN.

Hey, you're home already? I was thinking you all were gone till this Sat. We tried to catch up with you on the west coast of the island but stopped at Rathtrevor Beach north of Nanaimo when we couldn't get you by phone. Glad to sea you didn't have any whazoo-type mishaps and have wonderful pictures to show. Thanks for everything Mr. & Mrs. Jefe, you are the "boss"!

Dave,
Yep. We were far enough out to have no cell service, but we did retrieve a couple messages you sent a few days after you were already gone. I hope you had no more wheel or tie rod woes on the rest of your trip. Did you get snowed on in Bend?
After hearing the men's choir sing compline in Seattle, our trip was complete, so we headed for home.
Every day seemed like a week because we crammed so much in there. Also, they say (who are these 'they' anyway?) if you want time to slow down, do something completely different on your vacation. None of this was same-old, same-old.

Great trip report. I've had a flat tire on that road from Gold River to Port Hardy. When I was up in Port Hardy a few years ago, you would encounter black bears very frequently on the logging roads. You would round a bend and see a bear scurrying off into the bushes.
