On the way to meet up with Whazoo in Utah, I took a drive that included the Coronado Trail, and a stop in Monument Valley.
The details are here .
Here are a few pictures.

Camp site near Hannigan Meadow (sorry about the focus)

Elevation 9100 ft. Morning temperature 9F.

Momument Valley, Mitten View primitive campground
[image]
Yeah, with a furnace, stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, sink, 'full' bathroom, and a nice warm bed -- pretty primitive.

Why do they call it Mitten View?

The Moki Dugway

Piece of cake in these dry conditions.

Northeast end, Lake Powell

Ice on the lake.

Now on to Goblin Valley, and 'Waiting for Whazoo'.
(there might be a play by that name)

We visited the mittons last spring... We both like your pictures with the snow better... but we don't miss the cold.

Thanks for sharing

Cal, So that's why your rig looked so clean, you had good weather for that part of the trip. Or did you wash the tc in Hanksville? Great shots of Monument Valley sunset and rise. Thanks for going with me Cal, next time you post first though...
