We are looking into it.

Seems about 5% of people running certain browsers and/or operating systems are having problems. I'll report back when I know more.

We found the problem.

It turns out that Linux systems with /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_window_scaling set to 1 experience very slow access.

Setting it to zero ie "echo 0 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_window_scaling" cures the problem for this website but may cause problems for others.

Search users@lists.fedoraproject.com on February 8th for more information.

I now have very fast access. Thank you for your patience.

me2,

I'm glad you found a solution. If you had answered my question about what operating system you were using, I could have guided you to a previous Linux thread where a solution was discussed.

You may still want to read it.

No good with Vista and Chrome.

Works fine with Vista and IE7.

Please make it work with Chrome as I hate using IE.

I use Chrome and have never had a problem. Lightning speeds!

P.S. I'm absolutely hating the blue double underlined words. Watch that mouse!

I rarely have issues on here, but today I do (it's slow) with a new Samsung N210 netbook, W7 and Chrome. I'm typing this using IE8 (I think) which seems a bit faster. As I'm typing this the cursor and the letters are flashing like crazy as if they're trying to jump out of the box, and there's a noticeable lag time to when the letters appear after hitting the keys.

I thought things had been relatively good lately, however last night I gave up trying to search RVs for sale.

You need to look at your system to rectify this issue. Once the new message window is loaded into your computer, there is not communication with an RV.Net server until you click on something such as, "Post Message," "view topic," one of the tool bar buttons, etc.

Chrome doesn't do this. I wouldn't know what to look at.

I'm replying using Chrome/W7 with a different wifi provider and it's really really slow. So I guess it's a new issue...

It's definitely Chrome/W7. IE is fine except for the typing delay. Chrome is almost unuseable. Was fine yesterday.

Now it's ok again. Sheesh.. what's going on???

Fri: it's bad again. I set Chrome to run with Vista compatibility, but it's still really slow on this forum only. Everything else works fine. Dunno...
